1.
I see you used the past tense there. Is she no longer with us?
She's still going! Perhaps her deafness was temporary.
2. So beautiful...
3.
Clank city
This is a place I would like to visit. I'm surprised the MiBass gives good grind though, I always imagined they would be specimens of zing and cleanliness. Perhaps I should try one out.
4. It was awful, every other song seemed to be Rudimental featuring someone or other, and each one semed to be exactly the same as the last! Mel C sounded great - imagine her fronting a proper bluesy rock band. Jools boogieing over everything as usual. Distinct lack of party atmosphere in general really. I did enjoy Haim's Fleetwood Mac cover though.
5.
This re mastered thing may also be enjoyed
Sublime.
6. I'm 30 seconds in and it sounds perfect already.
7. Paz Lenchantin...
8. Greco Tbird... Greco Tbird...
9. Everybody loves a bit of The Shadows now don't they? Plus the audience will most likely recognise the tune. Also, Walk Don't Run or Wipeout.
10. Beautiful! Do the Anniversary electronics have a stereo option?
11.
There she is: Sounds pretty neat! Went simple on the wiring and it's only Vol, Vol, Tone.
Fantastic! I do love the PP arrangement. It's no wonder Entwistle was so fond of it.
12.
Outside of The Shadows, footage is a little thin on the ground, but this is a really versitile bass and can do lots of things - not famous, but there is this... you need to get past the first demo to about 1.15 before the Marquee comes in.
Awful review. Here's a bass with loads of different pickup selections / tones, but I'm just going to play with one of them. Oh and I'm going to show off my AWESOME slapping too.
13.
I read in a book written by a Sabs roadie that their stuff was stuck in customs, and that's why GH lent Geezer the Ric for that show. Like many rock stories, their seems to be multiple variations! I remember reading somewhere where Geezer denied ever using the Ric except for that one gig. I swear he's using a 4001 on parts of 'Never Say Die' - 'Junior's Eyes' for example, and from memory, some of the other songs as well.
Junior's Eyes is a Rickenbacker, no doubt about it.
14.
Candy Cola MIM Jazz?
PM'd...
15.
We play that I'm always surprised how well it goes down, never thought it was that bigger hit
He was at a Tenpole Tudor convention...
16. I bloody love Geezer... I've had the good fortune of seeing him live several times - -the best being with G//Z/R (supporting Fear Factory!) and with Sabbath on the original reunion tour - both times at the London Astoria. Incredible. He also has the honour of playing on my favourite album ever - Black Sabbath's Sabotage.
17. I love that Marquee! I've often considered taking the plunge on one.
18. I love these... Wish I'd never sold mine... GLWTS.
19.
What about a BassDoc (of this very forum)/Jim Cairnes 5 string jazz, Fiesta Red (roadworn through gigging since early nineties), very dark rosewood board/figured maple neck, Just fitted with new EMG J actives (totally silent) and schaller hardware. It's an original US fender '62 reissue body with a custom made neck by Jim Cairnes. if you're at all interested PM me an email address and I'll send you some pix. Andy
Veeery interesting... PM sent.
20. I'll tell you what, I don't half fancy a nice Jazz...
21. I love Mr Bungle, have done since school. All of the albums are amazing, but California is a masterpiece, regardless of genre - in my mind the best thing Patton has ever worked on. I was lucky enough to see them live at the much-missed London Astoria, in '99 I think it was. And of course, they have an absolute bass monster in Trevor Dunn - has anyone tried to play Dead Goon?
22.
I doubt that you will be interested but if you like P Bass then I have one of these: http://flatericbassa...ofessional.html 70's Japanese and as the review says not what you expect. Poss part ex plus cash? No idea what the value is and hadn't really thought of selling it but I do like your bass.
Cheers for the offer but no thank you.
23. I had a dream about one of these basses once. When I asked the guy in the shop to get it down for me it was an Aria SB1000, but was a Steinberger when he gave it to me. The sound was beyond anything I had ever imagined and I soon had a crowd of gasping admirers. Caused quite severe GAS for some time, let me tell you.
24. Mine is Heard It Through The Grapevine - played in the CCR style. So much room to play around with the bassline.
25. I played one last year and loved the feel - particularly the neck - but found the whole thing too dark for me. I often wonder about getting one and popping in a couple of those Bisonic reissues...
