  1. That page was the most unpleasant read ever... the volume of ads made it almost unreadable, in fact I gave up half way through. Literally 80% advert, 20% article.
  2. Paul bought a case from me, paid promptly, good communication, no problems at all! Would be happy to deal with him again! Credit to BC. Cheers, Russ.
  3. Paddy took a few bits and pieces off my hands. A smooth transaction all round, would be very happy to deal with him again! Russ.
  4. Its the same bass, the 'marbling' on the fret markers are identical between the photos. The black/gold logo is just the different light used when photographing.
  5. Ask them directly, see what they say. In all honesty, The Bass Gallery often appear to be overpriced, their pre-owned gear too. Pretty sure anything you would want that they sell can be found elsewhere for far less!
  6. We might be fighting it out if it were a 6!
  7. I put up a wanted ad for a Comfort Strapp and got a response a day or so later from Paul. We met in accordance with social distancing just outside of Basildon Hospital and I got my new (literally brand new!) strap. Good communication all round, would be very happy to deal with Paul again! Thanks mate!
  8. I wonder what Rickbasspecial thinks...
  9. Can't you take it home as hand luggage and avoid tax? Most airlines allow instruments in the cabin for no fee (BA do/did). I flew over to San Francisco some time ago to collect a bass and was able to take it in the aircraft as hand luggage.
  10. Bought a strap from Walshy, it got sent, it got delivered, can't say fairer than that! Another credit to BC, would happily deal with again! Cheers sir, Russ.
  11. But why quote Tony's entire post?! Once is enough for such a long post! 😁
  12. I also owned this bass for a short while! And if it was a 6 string I would still own it, but alas it has only 5 strings so was moved on after a while. It is a fantastic bass, excellent combination of pre-amp and pickups with fantastic action and a very comfortable neck and balance. It is a shame W&T have opted to go for a rather odd 'futuristic' style with their basses now. This bass, and others of this era, are some of the best Enrico made.
  13. I live to serve.
  14. Your title says AJ^ and not AJ6. I'm guessing you held down the shift key for too long! Also, you have typed 'sixstring' as one word so no one searching for a 'six string' will find this bass! Changing it might help people know its a 6 string bass!
  15. https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/201026363384025--ibanez-sr875-autumn-leaf-gradation One of these would fit the bill. Thinish nut too.
  16. Chris sent me a set of black Schaller strap locks in exchange for a donation of BC. A top bloke to deal with, absolutely no issues at all, another credit to our fair forum! Russ.
  17. What's the theory behind this? I always use black plastic wrap on parcels! @Hellzero will testify, as he has probably received 30 parcels wrapped in black plastic from me!
  18. Afternoon all, I've been digging in the old chest of doom and have a few minors things I don't need. Already got rid of the 'lesser' items vis the Recycling page but for these bits I'd like a few quid! There are three sets of strap locks (strap end only). One Fender, one Warwick and one unbranded (has a similar clasp mechanism to the Fender set) I'm after £5 a set or £12 for all three. I have 2 string trees, £5 for the pair. And finally two fairly basic 'seat belt material' straps. £7 for the pair £1 postage per item. I'd take £20 for everything with £2 postage of you want the lot! Ta, Russ.
  19. And gone!
  20. Hi all, I have a few minor bits that may be of use to someone... There is: A Dingwall 4 string 'Jazz' scratch plate. A partial set of Dunlop recessed strap locks. And old croc skin strap (missing the thin strip that mounts to the bottom strap pin) Two pitch pipes Two Jack cables (untested) All free to whoever wants them. I'd rather they all go to the same place just because it's much easier to get rid of them as a bulk. Happy for you to collect, or contribute £4 to postage and I'll get them send ASAP. Russ.
  21. Yes please!
  22. Surely just sell the first baby to make room for the second baby and keep the bass? Seems the best solution!
