Chris sent me a set of black Schaller strap locks in exchange for a donation of BC. A top bloke to deal with, absolutely no issues at all, another credit to our fair forum! Russ.

Afternoon all, I've been digging in the old chest of doom and have a few minors things I don't need. Already got rid of the 'lesser' items vis the Recycling page but for these bits I'd like a few quid! There are three sets of strap locks (strap end only). One Fender, one Warwick and one unbranded (has a similar clasp mechanism to the Fender set) I'm after £5 a set or £12 for all three. I have 2 string trees, £5 for the pair. And finally two fairly basic 'seat belt material' straps. £7 for the pair £1 postage per item. I'd take £20 for everything with £2 postage of you want the lot! Ta, Russ.

And gone!

Hi all, I have a few minor bits that may be of use to someone... There is: A Dingwall 4 string 'Jazz' scratch plate. A partial set of Dunlop recessed strap locks. And old croc skin strap (missing the thin strip that mounts to the bottom strap pin) Two pitch pipes Two Jack cables (untested) All free to whoever wants them. I'd rather they all go to the same place just because it's much easier to get rid of them as a bulk. Happy for you to collect, or contribute £4 to postage and I'll get them send ASAP. Russ.

@Woodinblack, hence me saying this which you elected note to quote!

It's Black Friday everyday if you buy things from fellow Basschatters! (Mostly!)
-
On the whole 'Black Friday' is utter nonsense! I'd hazard a guess that out of every 100 'deals' only 1 represents an actually worthwhile deal. There's a few things floating around that are worth it if you want that item, but on the whole it is really just a big scam!!

Was just thinking the same thing!!

Its a BFD1-2999 obviously!! I believe that is some form of man-hunting robot from the future.

Hi, 25% off! Now £90. I have for sale a very close to mint condition black deluxe Fender G&G hard case. These beasts are £240 on the Fender website and a little over £220 from the likes of PMT etc. I have too many cases and need to move a few on so this one is up for grabs! It's a fantastic case, no signs of use with the keys in the compartment. £120 is about half price from new so I think that's fair enough for a case of this calibre! Can ship if required, also happy for a socially distanced collection. May be open to some form of trade, would rather cash though! Any questions, please ask! Russ.

I do love a Spector, I've owned several EURO 6XLs over the years, a US NS6XL and an NS5XL, all fabulous basses! This Ibanez compares very closely indeed in terms of build with those Spectors, the thick slab top with the spacer and Ash back are a similar style. Very pleasantly surprised by this bass... I knew it would be good, but it has surpassed my expectations and I tend to expect a lot!

So this cheeky beast has just arrived from Belgium courtesy of a certain @Hellzero... It is quite an exceptional bass, more so than I was expecting to be honest (and I've not even plugged it in yet!) The build quality is absolutely fantastic. The highly figured, very 3D, top is a 1 inch thick slab of quilt maple with a purpleheart core layer and an Ash rear, also beautifully figured. The purpleheart fretboard and truss cover and superb and feel great under finger. The fretwork is immaculate, the fret end has been rounded off perfectly. The gloss body has an angled transition to a perfectly smooth satin neck and the treble access allows you to hit every fret seamlessly. The Bartolini pups are supported by an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp (a change from the stock passive Bartolini preamp) and the hipshot bridge and gotoh tuners take command at either end of this fine beast. This really looks like a true contender for some of the VERY best basses I have owned, and I have owned a lot!!! Porn below:
