We had one in Liverpool in the early 90s, two bands, promoter/manager blowing smoke up our behinds etc. Thing was he quite literally did nothing to promote it, not even a flyer. Consistently nobody turned up, and I mean nobody ! Free practice with a lighting rig if nothing else !

Diet or caffeine free ?

I grew up listening to metal/thrash/prog/punk etc, and Disco couldn’t be anything further away from what I like, but yeah Bernard Edwards was just incredible and in my middle age I can finally admit to loving Chic 😉

Probably playing bass in a half arsed cabaret band in an extremely rough pub in North Wales (that narrows it down !) Singer was rather drunk and very high and was becoming more and more mouthy during the first set. Oblivious to the way his humour was going down, and the massing of ‘the lads’ at the back of the venue, he kept notching it up, and up, and up Having heard what said lads were going to do to the singer during the intermission, we shipped him off in a taxi, reassembled as our day job (thrash band) and didn’t get a kicking at the end. Result !

Possibly most fun I’ve had at a gig, and I’ve been to a lot. Took this whilst right at the front in the Manchester Apollo.

Sadly no. Too tricky with work. I’ve seen them twice before, incredible live !

I find Maiden stuff murderous to play, so hats off to you for this !

No sunburst either

I really can’t see what I would change this for (USA Geddy Lee) The neck is incredible, body is nice and light and it sounds good. If push came to shove, a 60s Jazz maybe, but I prefer modern radius boards and frets. The sound I always have in my head is a P bass though, so maybe, just maybe ...
