    New USA AVRI 75 Jazz neck. Has been fitted to a bass and had ferrules installed for the machine heads. Nut has not been cut yet however. Perfect condition as you’d expect as it’s never been used in anger Was bought to go with my AVRI P but I’ve got the hang of the neck on that now and I don’t want to change it. Happy to post at your expense.

    In excellent condition and includes Roqsolid cover. Everything works, no scratchy pots. Nice and light for a class AB head and sounds ridiculously good through my Supertwin I’m only selling it as I have an all valve head itch that needs scratching. Probably collection only from Chester or can meet up within a reasonable distance from Chester.

    Apparently the old bulgin power inputs are potentially deadly so that needs changing. I spoke to the guy who made these amps and he wasn’t to keen on running it via a 4ohm cab. Theyre Bassman clones by all accounts. I really should get it sorted out, I just love ‘that’ tone you get with an all valve amp, plus it’s going to be cheaper than an AS200b getting it fixed.

    lol the Ampeg SVT Classic is a whole 10kg heavier than the Orange. It weighs more than my son !

    The Marshall Orgin 50 guitar head is 12kg from memory. An Orange AD200B bass head is is 27kg. There’s a Peavy all valve bass head that’s pretty light. I’m not sure you can get that in the UK though.

    I have this monster lurking under the stairs. It’s not be turned on since 1994 (oops pardon) so needs tlc by someone who knows what they’re doing. It weighs more than the moon though so hardly practical. From memory it sounded pretty good for bass. 135 watts RMS so should be loud enough ... 8 ohms though and I don’t have an 8 ohms cab

    Why are bass all valve heads so heavy ? Guitarist in our band has bought one of those all valve Orgin heads, and it’s lighter than my ABM 500 head. They’re also much cheaper it would seem. Just curious really.

    They seem to be the sole preserve of people who don’t have to shift their own gear ! This one belongs to the bloke from The Verve, it lurks in the rehearsal room that we use which is owned by him I believe.

    I auditioned for a classic rock band with this amp, the guitarist had an all valve Mesa thing with a full stack which he insisted (of course) on playing at Motörhead levels of volume. The Amp and BF supertwin was very much a match at 12 o’clock

    I concur. The case is stupidly expensive new in faireness but it’s rather nice. All boxed, Footswitch is unused and amp is pristine. Good value I’d say (of course!) I don’t dislike it, I’m just trying to free up cash, and I play live so infrequently having an amp that costs close to a grand is a bit silly really.
