*edit*

Oops - forgot to ask my Dad if he wants it ! Will do it today. Update: Nah he's not interested sorry .
4. Might come back to you on the Jap Jazz pickups.

6.
Do,nt know about the Hartke stuff, but I've found the Ashdown stuff is wooly as a knitwear shop.
I could knit the ignorance in this reply into a nice jumper ! It is fair to say that an Ashdown flat is dull, but that's what the EQ is for. It doesn't take a lot of tweaking to make it just as bright as any other amp, and still have plenty of headroom on the EQ controls. Not sure about the Hartke gear - never tried the VX cabs.
7. Nice one Stuart - I look forward to that review . Incidentally I need to get the current BGM to see how the LoMenzo compares to my review...
8. Get a red tort on that pronto !
9. Try here.. not sure if it works out any cheaper http://www.thomann.de/gb/search_dir.html?s...amp;x=0&y=0
10. I work in an IT department and we're not allowed on the internet during working hours. ...oops.
11. I can not fault your logic phatbass787.
Only shortcoming is it weighs 48kg but I can get it into my car on my own so no real worries only an occasional bout of laziness on my part.
48Kg ?! What is it made from, concrete ?
12. Oh of course cash is accepted, I just need to have it to send for you to accept . Just bought this LoMenzo pedal so i'm stuck.
13. Pffft, haven't really got anything interesting . I quite fancy the filter..
14. What I mean by that is - I love Ashdown gear and can't see myself with anything else in the next few years, but I wouldn't be shocked if it burst into flames. Same with Alfas , no-one buys them on their reputation of reliability - but because they fell in love with the car.
15.
So is the "Breakdown" nickname undeserved then?
I like to think of Ashdown as a bit like the Alfa Romeo of the bass world .
16. Anything not 2nd hand is new - be it 1 week or 10 years old. As long as it's in good condition and at a good price I wouldn't be fussed either way .
17. What part of it doesn't ? The saddle, tail piece or nut ? I find it hard to believe that it wouldn't take a standard gauge string.. same hardware as all other Warwicks surely.
18. I'm not aware of any filter in place .
19. I've now decided to buy the pedal from Ashdown - as I don't want to send it back.
20.
MIM - made in mexico to lower design spec. by mexicans MIA - made in america to higher design spec. by former mexicans, guatemalens, puerto ricans etc
That's a point I think most don't realise - lots of Mexicans work in the US factory anyway .

22. Looks like a standard model with the relic option to me.
23. Do bare in mind this was plugged directly into my soundcard, not going via any preamp or EQ. Plenty of people who heard it at the bass bash were impressed by it, so ner
24.
You're wrong, there is a cure, and a fantastic one at that (though you may lose some loved ones) which is to buy the item you have GAS for.... I've got some pretty bad GAS now actually In more ways than one...
Feeding the GAS merely suppresses it for a few weeks until you a) see something ELSE you like or b) what you bought doesn't live up to expectations.
