  1. It’s 400 Class AB watts. It’ll handle anything you throw at it.
  2. It was a nice colour before it went wrong.
  3. That one looks about ready to involuntarily become a Steinberger.
  4. It only works for me if I hold my phone 6" or so from the pickups.
  5. No mention of the replacement pickguard? That's a bit of an oversight. I take that back. It looks like it might be original... the photo is just very saturated.
  6. La Bella FL's and GHS Precision Flats... fairly interchangeable IMO. Beautifully warm with clear mids.
  7. No need to boost bass. Just stick B&T at noon, and contour off. See how that goes.
  8. Hmmm… the R400 is anything but boomy. What settings did you have?
  9. I'll post this, but dunno why. This is pretty much what I've used at every gig for the last eight years 😄
  10. I've dug out the chat I had with Leszek about the light years ago, not long after I got my first R-400: Lamp isn't clip, it is an incredibly complicated analogical optical limiter, which perfectly keeps balance in the power amplifier. You are free to play as loud as you want. It's not possible to overload!
  11. Unless your bass is incredibly hot, crank the input and lower the output. Around 1pm works for me for a standard passive P.
  12. Honestly, don’t worry about it unless you can hear a problem. ‘Cos if you can’t hear a problem, there ain’t one 🙂
  13. If you can't hear any problems, don't worry about it. The light is designed to come on during normal operation. It's an 'I'm here!' light, rather than a warning light.
  14. I've got seven new sets of flats sitting around in case I need them. I reckon that's a minimum of 140 years' worth.
  15. UPDATE - it's still #1. Here's something from last weekend. Love it.
  16. We’ve already done this one a few posts back 🙂
  17. No, but they're very good at doing clever things subtly. See also the Am mentioned above.
  18. Start it on the off-beat and you’ll be fine. They’re crafty buggers, those Eagles. Love ‘em.
  19. Does that mean there will be noise, or there won't be noise..?
  20. I honestly don’t know why they asked you to play anything solo. Or why 99% of musicians would want to hear Jaco’s bass part on Donna Lee. There’s just no version of that scenario that involves winning.
