  1. Yeah that'd explain it 😂😂
  2. Have a good one and enjoy yourself 👍
  3. This is a lovely thing and available with shipping 😍 GLWTS
  4. I experienced this with one of mine once. Constant low-level hum, didn’t get any louder with volume and so obviously didn’t cause an issue at gigs/rehearsals. Still it used to get on my nerves. I took it to a tech and it turned out to be the position of the transformer which is obviously secured with a bolt to the bottom of the casing. It must have turned slightly during its long life. After a bit of trial and error he rotated it slightly then tightened it back up and hey presto, the hum was gone.
  5. Yes they tend to be the most difficult item to find. Although there is a chap on TB who’s currently perfecting his own moulded ones. Very good they look too.
  6. There’s a story there...... No, it’s not the flat type unfortunately, but I do have a couple of those on the way to me so I’ll pm you with the details of what’s available once the switch has arrived. 👍
  7. I’d double check that conversion 🤔 Beautiful bass by the way. Always thought these teal ones looked gorgeous and the rosewood finishes it off for me.
  8. They really are great basses. The most expensive thing to go wrong (or not be working) would be the pickup. Other than that it would just be the bridge and deciding whether to refret or not. I have a spare solderless loom for one if anyone was interested 😉.
  9. 🍻 Good man !
  10. No but if it helps, I’m here with you 😂
  11. I fear once afflicted, a life long struggle beckons 😟
  12. It’s a curse that strikes many of us 😁
  13. I agree. I must admit when I buy a bass (invariably used) the stripping down, cleaning, restringing and setting up is part of the bonding process for me. It doesn't feel 'mine' until I've done it.
  14. This doesn't require much to get it up and running for those after a fretless SB-R. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aria-Pro-ii-SB-R60-Fretless-Bass-Guitar-Project/193008112779?_trkparms=aid%3D777001%26algo%3DDISCO.FEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160801204525%26meid%3Dbe762a2ac9a14a90ba6123a6566cb850%26pid%3D100651%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26%26itm%3D193008112779%26pg%3D2481888&_trksid=p2481888.c100651.m4497&_trkparms=pageci%3A9210613e-ad4b-11e9-832f-74dbd1804bf3|parentrq%3A1ef68aac16c0a4d062232b02ffa3eb66|iid%3A2
  15. This is a Mk I. The new CV’s aren’t quite the same spec as these original ones.
  16. Aha, thanks for that. I'd got it into my head that the ‘B’ just referred to the profile of the neck and not necessarily the nut width. It is in fact the other way around 🙄
  17. Very nice 😍. What's the nut width on this one? I ask as at some point I'd like to get hold of a YOB '73 precision and I too love chunky necks (Steve Harris Blue Sparkle P kind of chunky). The problem is I don't have a clue about the neck options that were available in '73.
  18. That's a very good price for a great cab. GLWTS
  19. There seem to be a few weird and wonderful limited editions at the moment. I stumbled across this one : https://www.andertons.co.uk/fender-fsr-ltd-edition-american-professional-p-bass-w-rosewood-neck-in-surf-green-0176003757?lgw_code=16284-0176003757&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqvHz9qfD4wIVTbTtCh0-twpzEAQYASABEgKPHPD_BwE
