  1. Although I don’t use it a great deal, I’m very happy with how it sounds when I do.
  2. Here's mine, compact and bijou. Finally succumbed to individual pedals after years of either no effects at all, or minimal use of multi-effect units.
  3. This used to house my Trace Elliot Series 6 AH300. That's long gone so this is now surplus. Foam is in good condition (I replaced one piece a year or so ago), built like the proverbial and all 4 catches work as they should. I'm having a bit of a clear out so thought I'd offer it up on here before it goes to the scrapman in the sky. External sizes: width 600 height 240 depth 590 Internal sizes 530 175 425 (approx) Cheers
  4. I took this in a trade recently so am just looking to get back what it owes me. 1984 Westone Thunder 1A 34" scale / 20 frets Weight - 8lb 15oz Width at nut - 40mm Active/passive switching plus a dual tone (series/paralell) switch for a huge variety of powerful sounds. All electrics working as they should. It needed a bit of a clean up when I got it and the back of the neck had a few nicks in the finish. I've since rubbed it down and given it a couple of coats of gun stock oil, so it's now silky smooth. It could do with a few more coats purely for colour matching, but to me it's great as it is. The bridge was pretty grimey so that's had a good dose of Brasso and elbow grease and I've set it up with a brand new set of Fender 7250L strings (100/80/60/40). It's now playing and sounding great. There are a few dings on the body (buckle rash, indentations etc) which I have tried to photograph, but the joy of the natural finish means nothing really shouts at you. There's some thumb wear over the pickup which is probably the most noticeable area of wear, and there's a little wear below the bridge. I have an old (non-original) but perfectly serviceable hard case that I can let go with it. A few pics to be going on with, but I can take some more tomorrow in natural daylight if required. EDIT - 4 daylight pics with case added Collection preferred, but I can ship to the UK only at buyers cost. As always I’m also open to a motorway services handover, especially now we’re allowed a picnic. 😉
  5. Purchased from our very own @stewblack this is now surplus to requirements, so for sale at the bargain price I paid for it. It has some light scratches on the screen and some velcro still attached to the bottom, but other than that is in fine fettle. There's no power supply but these are 9volt (500ma) so can be run off various power blocks/supplies without drama. It'll be reset to factory settings. EDIT - It will be supplied with a switchable Maplins psu along with a USB cable. The psu states 9 volts 0.65a. The B3 requires 9 volts 0.5a so it's fine, or you can run it off the USB too! Price includes shipping to GB only.
  6. Only just picked up on this thread. I thought I’d had a few basses but clearly not. Wow! I’ll try to get my list together 🤔.
  7. If it helps, I have a Status CW and it’s definitely a keeper. They’re pretty rare on the used market, so you may have to prepare yourself for an anxious build wait.
  8. I’ll just leave this here for cotton eyed Joe 😮 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aria-Pro-II-Electric-Guitar-converted-to-6-string-electric-banjo-/184697817329?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
  9. No worries. I neglected to add that these are wonderful pieces of kit, with as much oomph as you should ever need.
  10. If I may dive in, these were 30kg 31.5kg new so should still be there or thereabouts with the replacement driver. These are from the late ‘90’s Rich.
  11. What a lovely pair 😍
  12. Are these 2U or 3U high? I’ve always liked the look of these and have read some rave reviews. Glad you’re enjoying it. 👍
  13. If I may say, that’s a rather unnecessary statement to make. The OP has posted a positive story and then commented that “it’s only a matter of time before someone comes along etc..” Clearly not trying to find offence.
  14. Nice one. 👍 My R60 is an ‘83 and the grain on that is pretty stunning too.
  15. The first digit of the serial number will tell you which year of the ‘80’s it was made
  16. Gorgeous, although I suspect it’s earlier than an ‘86. I thought the R series finished in ‘83 / early 84?
  17. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I’ve tried a couple of Ashdown amps and found that I had to tweak the EQ every time I switched basses, something that I didn’t need to do with my Trace heads. A p would sound like a P and a ‘Ray still sounded like a ‘Ray, I too would just tweak on the bass. Perhaps there is something with the 12 band. 🤔
  18. Here you go, before and after shots showing the stock gloss b/w/b/plate, then the single ply matt black plate fresh from Chandler. This is how they should have been from the factory imho. Very pleased. 😉
  19. Just sold a pedal to Dave. Textbook transaction, trade with absolute confidence. Many thanks 👍
  20. Sold a classic TE head to Phil. Prompt payment and great communication throughout. Many thanks 👍
  21. I’ve used the damp tea towel and iron trick with great results on oiled neck dings, but this looks like a lacquered neck to me, which rules out that option unless you rub it down first and oil it after. 🤔
  22. I must admit I enjoyed the New Romantics episode. Set a series record up after that so looking forward to future episodes.
  23. Very true. I’ve not seen any photos that capture the true colour of a Teal MM, even my own. They always look more blue for some reason. Lovely Bass by the way. GLWTS
