1. Nice bass Mark! These Prestige Ibanez sixers are some of the most comfortable and best value six string basses around. I had this very model in five string version and the sustain was unbelieveable. If I hadn't already had two other Ibanez Prestig sixers around plus some nice other basses (Spector Spector Spector!) and a Dingwall for sale I'd take this from you. (somebody please buy this before my GAS kicks in) For possible buyers: I've had a couple of deals with Mark and he is a great seller / buyer and a nice chap overall.
2. Quite some trade offers, but the bass is still here.
3. Go Mark, go! :-)

5.
Lovely colour. Excellent quality bass for the money. Have a bump.
Thanks! Still for sale / trade!
6. Thanks! I'm very happy with how this turned out.
7. I have decided to refinish my Spector Euro 5. Originally it had a matte see-through finish. The maple quilt is quite nice on this and I thought a lighter finish would do some justice to it and I also wanted to experiment with some other ideas so I decided to have the bass refinished by a local luthier. Things to notice: - body and headstock got a gloss finish, but the neck is oil finish for playing comfort. - electronics are the same TonePump that was before, but the controls are moved back to the control cavity cover. - I'm using sliding pots for (top to bottom) vol, vol, treble, bass. The top of the sliders are just a tiny bit over the surface so they don't catch anything (and stay in place) - the two round microswitch (hard to notice, they are recessed to the right of both vol sliders) are what used to be the push/pull pot for humbucker/single coil switch of the EMG TW pickups. The reason for the controls mod is that I hardly ever touch the controls and like the clean look of the top of the bass this way. Time will tell if I'd ever miss the pots from the top. And now the pics......
8.
What wood is the fretboard? Is that Rosewood?
Fingerboard is wenge.
9. It is SOLD locally!
10. Thanks Mark. The bass is still for sale / trade.
11. Bris - It is on hold but not yet sold.
12. On hold
13. Thanks Bris. This is still for sale. Also I'd consider some trades, like Spector Euro 5, Sadowsky Metro 5's and Yamaha TRB II series 5 or 6 strings.
14. Such a beautiful instrument. I remember this was up for sale a few years ago and I kept coming back and have a look at it :-) Good luck with the sale Hugues!
15. Nice looking Spector you have there and grat price! Would be tempted to take it off from you should I not have some basses to unload first (including a six string version of this Euro) Good luck with the sale!
16. Jim, if you can make the fretted to something that sounds / feels different than the main bass you have then go for the fretted version because it'd make sense. But I'd go for the fretless way. Still you can use as a backup instrument (well, sort of) and you will discover new things by playing fretless.. And can fret it later if you don't like it. My experience is that playing fretless can be quite an undertaking but it teaches you a lot regardless whether you can apply it to your current band or not.
17. Still for sale / trade!
18. Hey Mark, thanks! How is it going? This Dingwall would be a nice color fit to your transblue Spector.....just sayin' :-D

20. Nice to hear that. Spector rules!
21. FEELER! I'm thinking about selling my Dingwall ABZ5. I've taken a honest look at what this year brings in terms of gigs / recordings and how much time I can put into bass playing in general and I came to a conclusion that I will fare well with my heavily modded Spector and the Ibby sixer, both being longtime favorites of mine. I'm selling the other instruments I have to free up some cash. This Dingwall ABZ5 was originally bought last year at Bass Direct. The bass is stock, no modifications done. It has no scratches, dings or any kind of damage. There are small swirls on the front of the body that are only visible fron an angle and some scratches on the pu housing (very minor) It still has the original strings with still life in them. I've used only at my home studio since I bought it a couple of months ago All in all the bass is in a very very good condition, almost as new I'd say. Sounds really great and it has a sleek very comfortable design. It is also light and hangs well on the strap. This was my first ever try of a fanned fret instrument and just as most DW players say, it took me no time getting used to it. 22. Maybe this is as ignorant question, but why does a lefty bass need special bridge? AFAIR these Sandberg bridges were symmetric with equaly spacing and there were no deeper or shallower grooves for different string diameters on the saddles.
23. ABM makes very high quality bridges so I wouldn't worry.
24. I'm not sure what you mean, I've had two Californias from earlier than 2012 and both had the same bridge as I see now on the Sandberg site. (this one was one those that used to be mine)
