  1. Thing is that the pjb stuff no matter how small handles the lowB, well at least I assume it’s the case with this latest offering, certainly the double four can do it.
  2. does this handle a low b? Does this handle a lowB?
  3. I was very impressed with the low b on my headless graphite status 2 using their own strings. The note is very defined, more so than the low e on some other basses. At this scale length I doubt you would get much better.
  4. Alas no car…
  5. If you ever come over to london/essex?
  6. Glad you pointed that one out …seems a strange omission not to have batteries, perhaps it’s just a combination of too small an enclosure with too powerful an amp?
  7. Ak thanks …of course look on their website …lol. I guess it will come to the uk eventually.. At this rate I can see Phil going in the direction of making just one standard bass module and then you just stack them all together like Lego to create the setup of your choice..
  8. https://bassmagazine.jp/news/202104-pjb/ Anyone know more about this combo?? because I think I need one of these to make my life complete.
  9. the bass in this is the meat of the whole song.
  10. Hmmm... just wondering if you might have lost something tone wise there.I think Cassidy spent a long time with that floating bridge over that thin bit of hollow ply. the bridge falls out when first purchased but once the pegs are glued and setup you really never have to deal with it ever again.
  11. you beat me to it... notable track was grey seal on yellow brick road, his tone and what he played on it was just out of this world.
  12. sam fox with hawkwind was a bit odd... but then i do remember seeing lemmy and vera lynn hanging out at a hawkwind gig so i guess its the norm for these guys.
  13. a very weird and disturbing dark day ..
  14. pretty sure this is the bass used in that live banhees nocturene gig at the royal albert hall, probably saw some action with the glove since this was about the same time severin was collaborating with robert smith. Its a fairly iconic bass. if i was stupid rich i would pick this up in a heartbeat...
  15. Just googling status graphite, most of what comes up is four stringers.
  16. Yes ..it seems to have worked a treat ...thanks guys!
  17. Ok ...I’m all keefed up ...fingers crossed ...expecting miracles.
  18. Anyone got suggestions for split fingers ...they are basically split fissures and bass playing is probably the last thing I should be doing with this problem ...those gloves or finger tip things look interesting but do they work for this condition...it’s painful as hell, literally there can be blood on the strings at which point I have to stop playing. Finger tips on both hands are effected.
  19. A fretless can be played much like a fretted...Jack Bruce comes to mind
  20. paladino with nine inch nails.
  21. Tool use a fretless on occasion
  22. Hey you... pink Floyd....Dave Gilmour.
