    I'm going to delve into my photo library today and retrieve the pictures. I had a photobucket blitz the other day. I've just got back from my travels and caught this post, as good as my Blackberry is its no PC. What can I say? This bass is beautifully made, sumptuously finished and in mint condition. I moved it on in order to reduce my collection and it was the one most difficult bass to say goodbye to. Everyone knows how good these basses are stock and the ACG02 just adds so much more. It may take a couple of days to explore and take in the new skills required to craft the tone you want but you'd have to be completely bonkers (imo) to put a Tone Pump back in, and Tone Pumps are great for what they do, just a bit 'in yer face' to my way of thinking. If in doubt ask Alan (Niceguyhomer). This ACG02 actually has the passive tone control too. I found it very useful as a one knob instant adjustment between songs. Photos later. This bass is immense, you won't be disappointed if you make the leap. Peter

    I would have checked it out online but Blackberries, as good as they are arn't the best tool for it. I was in town sorting my Mum's bank stuff out (it's a mess)and was time pressured to get home to take her to the Drs. So when my request for a help with the price i.e. had I stumbled on a once on a lifetime bargain, and was met with a 'given your gear you don't need it' reply I was annoyed. Maybe it was meant in a lighthearted manner and maybe it wasn't, the 'dreaded' smiley might have helped. Hopefully that's it? Bass seems great and I'm loving the switching options even through the Tascam which is very poor for playing bass through but great for other things. If I've upset anyone by being 'brittle' I apologise. Pedro

    This makes me laugh. BBC impresses us all with his discerning insight that I was 'throwing my toys outta my pram' and annoyed at the tardiness of requested assistance. Maybe, just maybe I made a sarcastic comment in relation to an unhelpful and judgemental reply to my request for a bit of help. Then again maybe bbc knows me best?

    Thanx Tom for some sanity. Still unsure if it was a good deal or not I tried it again and took the plunge. I'll see how it goes when I get it home. It could be a future bargain on here. The switches make a real differnce to the tone. Can anyone tell me their function? Is it only me then that sees a bass that they've always been interested in at a 'steal' price they can (just) afford and jumps at it needs disregarded? Peter

    Now we're all entitled to our opinions. I did clearly ask for urgent advice and can't see where advice on my needs was requested although my post was light hearted as generally is my nature. As for moaning? My sarcastic remark was because having specifically asked for help and saying that I was on my phone the 1st respondant wasn't at all helpful and just passed unsolicited judgement on what I have and therefore my needs. Wtf?

    I was after some genuine useful advice on G+L prices. I wasn't after judgement on whether I needed it etc. I'm old enough to make those decisions myself. It's up as a half price clearance offer and it sounds and plays great. I wanted to make sure that they don't all go for this sorta dosh. Thanks for the useful advice. Some of the other stuff seems to go with the territory a little too often nowadays. Peter

    Just seen a new G and L tribute for 349 GBP. Is this a mega deal or is it just me? Don't really need though it sounds sweet. Should the price make it unmissable? On my phone so pms good. Peter

    This is a case of me being a bit me really. I've had half an ear to the ground for a reasonably priced 4 x 10 as I've never used one and wonder what they would be like compared to the GS112's. Sold my Yamaha BBT500H and BBT210-S to Pete yesterday and became aware he was looking for a matching 4 ohm cab. Didn't clock that he was selling 4 x 10 8 ohm cab So today we met for the 2nd time in 2 days and the cab is mine. Would have been a lot easier and saved petrol, time, miles and £20 notes if we'd have done this yesterday. Initial impressions are that the 4 x 10 compliments the Aguilar very well, as in they're very different. Will update.
