They are the best methinks, I've just ordered one for the Overwater. The way I fit the one on my Harlot is that the straplock goes on the outer hole and I pop the inner hole on the button 1st and the straplock goes on top. This means that not only does it give double protection (like 2 durex) but the straplock isn't under any strain and it doesn't 'squeak' when the bass moves while you're dancing around .

I too hope that Liverpool do the business. I'm not putting money on it mind As much as I detest Man U I have to admit, yet 'a bloody gain', that they're probably the best team in Europe What time are you on tonight Al?

Trouble is for me that the most comfortable straps are the padded neophrene and elastic webbing type. The cable ties will prevent a re-occurrence and next time I'll source the original Strapp.

Anything with a Warmoth neck would be worth looking at. As their necks have reinforcement rods they are a bit deeper than most.

I've got 3 of this style of strap and I've just cable tied all of them at every plastic link. I have to say that the quality of the original, the Comfort 'Strapp', seems the best. Well worth doing Al and this thread deserves to go into the Wiki if it hasn't already been done before. Cheers. The Overwater seems a great bass Al. Extremely well made and solid (just as well) with a good tone. I'm a bit spoilt by the ACG pre-amp to be honest but I'll report back after practice tomorrow. The action was very high and I've fitted nickels (Sunbeams), lowered the action two whole turns on the saddles and done the intonation. The action will go lower still but I'm happy for now.

I replaced it with a Brooklyn Gear Al!! I think I'll put cable ties in place on all my straps as a 'just in case' back up measure. I've had a better look around and all seems tickety boo

I was practicing with the new Overwater (like got it last night) this morning when it just plummeted to the ground This is a bass that's totally like, new, immaculate and unmarked! I thought initially that I'd cocked up fitting the straplocks but no: I checked it all round but there seems to be no obvious damage. It landed on its lower body edge on the carpet otherwise it would of been so easy to bend a tuner or a pot at the very least. I emailed Bass Collection this morning but got no reply. If you use one of these straps check it over. I don't jump around or anything like that either. Peter

Well, the overwater? There was me aware that Ed (Edstraker123) had a rather 'delish' Overwater up for sale and me having 5 assorted very nice basses likewise. Ed put a plan together and it was 3 out 1 in (plus some financial inducement my way). I think only having 3 playing basses means I bond with them more if that makes any sense. I will photo the Overwater I promise. I've put nickels on it (DR Sunbeams) done the intonation and managed to go 2 full turns down on all the saddles still with no hint of clank or buzz. It's really nice.

This is where I feel I can put my gear in my signature without it becoming a tad embarrassing. Today saw me wave goodbye to 3 and say hello to one. I've actually got more basses than this but my fretless Jazz and Peavey T-40 are up for sale (and need to be sold - hint) and the Bass Collection is awaiting sale confirmation. Having unexpectedly gained the Overwater I'm feeling very much the Northern man I'm going to be putting the 1990 NT Thumb 4 up for sale soon having aquired the Overwater and I've not mentioned the 2 Rics which are very much put away to fondle occasionally and hope that they don't drop too far in value over the years. Yes its a good feeling having less basses for some strange reason
