1. For up is the fretless 'Jazzbasstard'. This bass has an Alder Jazz body with the 70's bridge pickup positioning ( 1/2" closer to the bridge and ideal for a good fretless tone). The pickups themselves are Lindy Fralin and are overwound by 5%. I've fitted a Badass II bridge, filed carefully for the strings, and it has an ACG02 filter based pre-amp in place. The controls are vol/blend, Low pass and High pass filters with their boosts on top. The neck is a Warmoth with a rosewood lined fretboard and Schaller tuners. There are no dings that I can find and the finish is very good. Looking at what I paid for the bass and then the price of the upgrades I think that £350 is a very fair price. 2. All the pedals are going on eBay this evening. I'll post the links later. Peter
3. Bass Collection on hold pending sale.
4.
so apologies if I've gone all MB1 on everyone.
That made I laugh! At least you have an excuse (apols MB1).
5. If there's one bass that I'm far from sure about selling its this one. My Spector Euro LX 4. It's fitted with an ACG02 with a passive tone control. It's also the latest version with the enhanced low/high pass frequency overlap. There's threads around that detail the benefit of the ACG02. I've fitted 5 of these too so it's installed with care. I still have the Tone Pump that would go with the bass unless its not wanted. I won't give this one away and the price reflects the ACG02 plus the superb condition. I got this bass for a good price but not the rock bottom price that some benefitted from. £760 Peter
6. I've already had an expression of interest on this bass. Here's my Bass Collection SB320. I think it's probably one of the best examples around. It's a 95 model and still has most of the gold lettering on the pickups. I'm looking for £200 which I think is reasonable given the condition. 7. Still going! Next is my fully functioning 1979 Peavey T-40. I've fitted a new scratchplate to this bass and it's generally used in line with its age but it's in good condition considering. I'm looking for £240. Peter
8. Bass No 3 is unusual and totally mint as well. It's a US made RKS 5 string with a 3 piece maple neck, ebony fingerboard and passive tone controls. It has a huge tone and a great B string (34" scale). All the hardware is top spec and it has an aluminium tone block on the headstock too. It balances fine. Everyone who has tried it has been impressed. I'm asking £550 Here it is: Peter
9. Many thanks Gwilym for that. Peter
10. Imagine a really classic bass that hasn't been made for a while and then you find one that it pretty much absolutely mint. That's what this Yamaha BB1500A is in effect as you can see from the photos. It is active with a 3 way EQ shape switch plus 2EQ treble and bass, so you can boost the mids and it give a great Jazz honk. I'm looking for £450. I think the pictures will explain how good this bass is better than me rambling on: Peter
11. Got it thanks Paulo and will get back to you today. Peter
12. First bass up is the fretless Jazzbasstard. This bass has a Alder Jazz body with the 70's bridge pickup positioning (1/2" closer to the bridge - ideal for a fretless tone). There are no dings that I can find and the finish is very good but not 100% perfect. Looking at what I paid for the bass and then the price of the upgrades I think that £400 is a very fair price. This is no lightweight body here. 13. Very nice Alan, Waiting for the sun to make an appearance here so I can photo 7 basses. I think it may be artificial light again Peter
14. I've heard the Rebop and the Euro, the Rebop is good.
15. I'll take a load of photos tomorrow and work out some prices. The Jazz fretless will be added to the list too now. Thanks for the kind comments. Yep both the Spector and the RKS are very nice instruments. Peter
16. I've done well, working my way down from 20 basses to a dozen. But a reality check combined with a rush of blood to the head has got me around to offering 6 up for sale. I need to survive financially until August and a few pennies will help too. There is 1 other bass pending a reply from others who have in the past had an interest. The 6 up for grabs immediately will be: Fretless Jazz with Lindy Fralins and Warmoth neck. 1979 Peavey T-40 in natural. RKS 5 string - US made passive very high quality with a massive passive tone. Yamaha BB1500A basically a new one, played very little from new and totally immaculate. Bass Collection SB320 in Green. You will be hard pushed to find a better one, 95 I think. Last but by no means least my Spector Euro LX 4 in Black Cherry with a ACG02 pre amp - this is one top bass in like new condition. So that's the feeler with 1 more bass possibly to be added. Pm me if you are interested. I'll think about prices and take some good photos and the thread will then become a proper for sale thread idc. Peter

23. I am not sure but I'm thinking that it really could. Bump as well. Peter
24.
About an inch.
What's the scale length going to be when you've finished Wayne? This is how I did my Warmoth, much better than wood screws imo. http://www.manchesterguitartech.co.uk/hardware.html Peter
25. As they are hand wound in the UK I'd guess Newtone makes them. Newtone are great strings. Peter
