    I've been gigging for 20 years and only ever bought one bass and one amp with me to gigs. Never broken a string. If my amp does let go, I have a Radial DI on standby. I have a TC Unitune in case the Polytune goes. Simple load in, easy to set-up and go.

    GHS Super Steels have grey silks and none at the ball end. Can't remember the ball colour though.

    You mentioned this in another thread - I wouldn't worry about it. EBMM would not make a bass that could only do one string gauge.

    I've used a ProDI for years and it has been a great workhorse.

    I tried RXs in 2016 and used them for around six months or so. Great strings that have become harder to find here since Brexit.
