    Hey, I have somehow landed a new bass. Was looking at an RBX but this came up locally and I snagged it for a great price. I have absolutely no idea if this bass is decent and know no history of the company. Has anyone played or owned one of these? Many thanks.

    Yamaha BBs are solid workhorses. If you see a bassist with a BB, they know what they're doing.

    How old is a vintage bass? 20? 30? 40+ years?

    Squier CV and VM series have been around for a while now. For £300, you can buy a fantastic instrument off the shelf.

    Classic BC answer is to just quit. An actual helpful answer would be to have an honest and open discussion about it all. Bands should not be talking behind others backs.

    Everyone who has met him says he's a decent bloke. Everyone who hasn't can't stand him. Someone once told me "Have you ever met a hater doing better than you?". Think that rings pretty true in this case.

    SIT Foundations are very similar to Dunlop Super Brights but at half the cost. I've been raving about them for years.

    How so? In this day and age, has you've noted in this thread, bands can use technology to gain fans without the need from labels.

    Normally those playing at venues within 30 minutes of where I'm located. This is playing at dedicated music venues so 300-500 capacity.
