  1. I will never understand this theory that Italian made is somehow better than Indonesian made.
  2. It's a lose-lose situation. Look what happens when someone under 50 is put in has a replacement. Mouldy oldies lose it! 😂
  3. I believe the negative reviews come from those who believe MB amps are 'sterile' or 'clinical'; they have no character of their own. That's why I like them. They're very neutral with no signature sound so it's easier to dial your tone in and get the sounds you want (or need) from the amp.
  4. My CMD121P has been my only amp since 2018. Such a great combo and has such a versatile EQ.
  5. I know it's not quite related but I highly rate the NP4 and NP4V pickups.
  6. I would rather have old rounds than any half round I've tried.
  7. The Entwistle Neodymium pickups jump to mind. Dimarzio DP127 is pretty high output.
  8. Dunlops were around £45/£50 when first released but due to inflation, all their prices have rocketed. Dunlops are more 'modern' than La Bellas but still have that classic flatwound sound. I really enjoy mine on my P bass. I bought them for $45 when I was last in the US so around £36/£37.
  9. You do know that thicker gauge strings doesn't mean warmer tone?
  10. Every time I use mine, it sounds scooped. I have a Spark Booster, Phat Phuk, Beta Mk II and Hot Tubes which all do the BDI21 but better.
  11. At least the pickups and machine heads are period correct. 😁
  12. I made that suggestion in another thread and was promptly shut down. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  13. I can't make the gig but great band.
  14. I have been a big fan of these roundwounds for the last couple of years but they do not get much love on here. If you're after a cheaper alternative to Dunlop Super Brights, this is it. Very, very similar string at a great price. 45-105: https://www.amazon.co.uk/S-I-T-Strings-FN45105-foundations-Medium/dp/B07BZMQKZ8/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?crid=3KD4BXJYPQQMV&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.fDv0z1b2iMlDw6_PisXqHvAaBHvpMiV0hiKE2aRfM1tVlWppSW6WyAr87YTf40Nh2udhchlqzyM5Kopm5MTayIRp_FfeuFP98-eSPZe1hl4jhhFQ1oeFCjpHrQXS_lfwPgZGPIqtmwtmpYtEIQ_1-NM4oMLL_gG1KAMZrJRbEP-5lwJQev6SJDdOh5sJiRCSxi5_GlIQsFQ6Zc1NHgIvnA.AR5z8D6XBrS09Z5DEYqqtFvPI7GCZWGUpbT72YqwEp4&dib_tag=se&keywords=sit+bass+strings&qid=1728745922&sprefix=sit+bass+strings%2Caps%2C73&sr=8-7 45-125: https://www.amazon.co.uk/S-I-T-Strings-Bass-Guitar-FN545125L/dp/B07BZYHCL6/ref=mp_s_a_1_13?crid=3KD4BXJYPQQMV&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.fDv0z1b2iMlDw6_PisXqHvAaBHvpMiV0hiKE2aRfM1tVlWppSW6WyAr87YTf40Nh2udhchlqzyM5Kopm5MTayIRp_FfeuFP98-eSPZe1hl4jhhFQ1oeFCjpHrQXS_lfwPgZGPIqtmwtmpYtEIQ_1-NM4oMLL_gG1KAMZrJRbEP-5lwJQev6SJDdOh5sJiRCSxi5_GlIQsFQ6Zc1NHgIvnA.AR5z8D6XBrS09Z5DEYqqtFvPI7GCZWGUpbT72YqwEp4&dib_tag=se&keywords=sit+bass+strings&qid=1728745922&sprefix=sit+bass+strings%2Caps%2C73&sr=8-13 30-120: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SIT-Strings-Bass-FN630120L/dp/B07RTCH5ZX/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=3KD4BXJYPQQMV&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.fDv0z1b2iMlDw6_PisXqHvAaBHvpMiV0hiKE2aRfM1tVlWppSW6WyAr87YTf40Nh2udhchlqzyM5Kopm5MTayIRp_FfeuFP98-eSPZe1hl4jhhFQ1oeFCjpHrQXS_lfwPgZGPIqtmwtmpYtEIQ_1-NM4oMLL_gG1KAMZrJRbEP-5lwJQev6SJDdOh5sJiRCSxi5_GlIQsFQ6Zc1NHgIvnA.AR5z8D6XBrS09Z5DEYqqtFvPI7GCZWGUpbT72YqwEp4&dib_tag=se&keywords=sit+bass+strings&qid=1728745922&sprefix=sit+bass+strings%2Caps%2C73&sr=8-4
  15. Ten months old on my main gigging bass. Change my rounds out at the end of every year. Love the worn in tone.
  16. After much debate, I've decided to go for a set of Lollar P pickups with my usual SIT Foundations. Thank you everyone for the input.
  17. Yes. A distinguished 35 year career if you look at their history.
  18. ...because people on the hooch gave up their musical tastes a LONG time ago.
  19. Er, what's the issue?
  20. Zero issues my end.
  21. Ah well, just return it and try again. 👍🏻
