4. Tried a GT200 today, at low volume, very impressed Funds wont allow it right now, but who knows! Tony
5. They are indeed nice cabs! The amp belongs to my guitarist, it's the 50 watt version!!! Gonna run this whilst I try a few different heads, leaning towards a 400+, but got a few others to try over the next few weeks. It is a nice sound, wish I could crank it up a bit, but the neighbours don't seem to wanna go out tonight! So far it's had my 2 Jazzes (fretted and fretless) thru it, also my Sterling, still got the P bass and Starfire to try yet :-) Tony

14. Played a gig last night, didn't use my backline, used the bass rig of the next band it was a 4x10 with a fender baseman head. Got loads of comments about my bass sound! All were very good, the key ones being "that is the sound for this band" the rig lacked headroom as we are loud, butit did growl! I use an ebs td650, known for it's high end, accurate sound, so maybe it's time to change! I was already thinking of aggie db750, will that do it? Maybe stay with ebs and go for a fafner? Recomendations please!!! Tony
15. I have an EBS TD 650, feeling like a change, so could be up for a trade with an Aggie DB750 with cash adjustment May consider selling if a DB750 is available at the right price Cheers Tony

17. Nearly twins Fender custom shop Jazz in seafoam green Fender Deluxe fretless jazz in lake placid blue Vintage, retro vibe thing going down here, need to get a family shot Tony
18. The guitarist in my band has a couple of bass cabs for sale, they were used by the previous bass player, i have used them and they sound good and are in perfect working order The VX 4x10 is in good nick The VX 8x10 has a few minor knocks, I used this a few times with my EBS head and it sounded great, I could have used it full time but prefer the portability of 2 4x10's prices as follows 8x10 - £300 4x10 - £250 These are guide prices, not usre what these are going for and he is open to offers as he needs to get rid Collection from Manchester Tony
19.
................. I'm a musical prostitute by profession, but not that much of a whore!
So well put Tony
20. Toasted is spot on, the price is a used Stage 1 makes these basses a great buy, I always liked the neck thru warwick necks over the bolt ons and the stage 1 for me has it all, great neck, nice balance and a great sound, plus they look great Slightly more quirky is a neck thru dolphin, I had a five string, look at the price of these new, you can pick them up for less than 1K, they cut thru like no other bass i've owned. I love warwicks would have a stage 1 tomorrow, but it doesn't fit with what I'm doing right now and there is still some "relevant GAS" to be sorted T
21. Great idea, but too many moving bits for me, i swap between fretless and fretted jazzes during a gig, that works well, i like things simple, less things to go wrong and drop you in the sh*t Tony
