  1. I found this little video entertaining - the guy uses his L-2000 to try to impersonate his P, J and Stingray
  2. This story has been too much of an emotional rollercoaster for me
  3. And on this YouTube bass cover, your point is amply demonstrated
  4. That made me think of Bananarama's Venus, and this is not a complaint
  5. The Tributes all have the G&L designed bridges – are they from the same supplier as the USA models? The MFD pickups on the Tribute L-2000 and SB-2 are the same as the USA models, but the alnico pickups on the LB and JB models are not.
  6. Would you want to be in middle of two drummers playing exactly the same part, or were you thinking of a lead drummer / rhythm drummer thing? Or imagining the two drummers passing the baton back and forth?
  7. The couple of YouTube demos are pretty poor sound quality, I don't know if anything could be judged from them. But there are a couple.
  8. Isn't the word you're looking for spelt t-w-o?
  9. Who makes pickups like these? I know I've seen that principle being used for the Old Smoothie. Where else? Edit: D'OH just use a 5 string pickup you foooool
  10. I recognised it as the name of a rather boring Led Zeppelin song.
  11. This video gives the impression that the two mini switches are separate series/single/parallel controls for the two pickups.
  12. £500 for a Chinese made bass sold online out of Indonesia .... quite expensive given how little peace of mind comes with the deal.
  13. The five minute video says absolutely nothing beyond the brief specs. Which means I didn't learn what the two mini switches do. Coil splitting? Series / parallel? 🤷🏻‍♂️ And is that fretboard really rosewood?
  14. When I was 18, Eloise, in the version by The Damned - rest of band said too fiddly to be risked. When I was 15, Everyone's Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey from the White Album, we kept losing the pulse. Still a bit ashamed of that. I was lead guitar back then, and listening to it now, I regret not having got to play those lines in public.
  15. I liked this advert, very wholesome
  16. My TRBX is fitted with Chromes It's on sale, and not selling, I suspect because flats really don't suit this two-thin-humbucker three-band-eq active bass (they sound good with the neck pickup on passive, so they were good for me until I got a bass more in line with what suited me, but beyond that, naaaah....) If I were to have the Chromes taken off them, would it be possible for them to be fitted to a trad P headstock, or once strings are trimmed for a 2+2, is that out the question? As I look at the photo once again, this seems a really dumb question. Perhaps a better one would be: what bass with a 2+2 headstock would Chromes suit? 😅
  17. Who knew that someone offering musical instruction could turn to the camera without saying, Hi guys?
  18. That made me ask myself – what was it that drew me to Yamaha basses? Answer: my mum's Yamaha U3 piano, and an ancient memory of being very surprised when a friend of a friend took me pillion on his RD350
  19. 🤣🤣 Chrome browser on my Android phone translates it all for me!
