  1. Cracking job, your pics make it look easy... lots of bassists trooping off to ruin fretless necks. LOL By all accounts Wenge can be a bit of a bugga to work with but possibly worse when defretting as the timber can flake/splinter.
  2. 10% going to MacMillan Cancer Research
  3. Maruszczyk Elwood Bass Guitar. 34" scale Elwood 'Jazz' bass with original gig bag. Colour is a transparent white and very thin (could be nitro) coating which leaves the grain exposed. I think they called it 'White Rabbit' or something silly. It does have a tortoiseshell scratchplate which isn't fitted at the moment but will be supplied (inc screws). Typical Fender Jazz bass tone but lots of upgraded features when compared to a Fender. Excellent bridge, zero fret, angled back headstock (negates the need for string trees). Rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlays. Can deliver within 1hr of NE24 at fuel costs or insured delivery via courier at buyer's expense. Just priced a new one and they are close to £1500 https://www.public-peace.de/info/maruszczyk-instruments.html No dings, dinks or damage. Happy to take a trade on it but... PLEASE do not message me with bits of kit that I can clearly find on BC / eBay / FB for £200 and tell me it is worth £500, I'm not daft and I know how to search for relative values. Likewise '1 off' custom orders that you may well have paid £3000 for but sadly the average bassist values at £500, I can't give you £2000. Sorry it is better if I'm just up front about it rather than waste anyone's time. Vintage Warwick basses will always float my boat, likewise unusual esoteric brands. I'm partial to a light weight bass so anything that you 'estimate' to be over 9lb (and will likely be 10lb+) isn't of interest; Sandberg that is 8lb or under would be good. Be sure to message me with offers and not directly on this thread.

  5. ...because he just bought one?
  6. Seems rude not to shout... @wateroftyne

  8. 200 Watt bass cabinet for stage and studio use featuring a great sounding dual-concentric driver 12" custom Eminence* dual-concentric driver provides you with deep fundamental bass tone 1" titanium diaphragm tweeter with 1.5" aluminum coil for increased percussive attack and definition Compact and lightweight bass cabinet design Vertically stackable with other RS range cabinets for uncompromising full-frequency sound Dual speaker link connections on premium Neutrik speakON* connectors (8 Ohm impedance) L-pad control lets you adjust?the perfect amount of high-end detail Stylish "anti-skid" covered plywood cabinet designed for toughest life on the road Cab is in good used condition but does have the odd scuff, scrapes etc in line with general useage. I have a TC cover to go with it. Sadly due to size and weight it'll be collection only. I'm happy to talk a deal with one or both of my other TC cabs and/or my TC Staccato amp... or my EBS HD350. BTW I do believe that TC amps can drive up to 3 of their cabs, so a mega stack would be my 112 + 210 + 210.
  9. If he doesn't collect tomorrow, I'll give you a shout. There are others interested but unless it is being collected in person (poss even Walshy's 'Man in a van'), I was not going to courier.
  10. A single one of these... or both if you want max versatility.
  11. I believe @walshy knows a 'man with a van' that hand delivers. It could be an option for delivery but not UPS/DHL etc.
  12. 400 Watt bass cabinet for stage and studio use featuring a great sounding dual-concentric driver Vertically stackable with other RS range cabinets for uncompromising full-frequency sound Compact and lightweight bass cabinet design Dual-concentric main driver fits a tweeter inside for a touch of sparkle 2 x 10" custom Eminence* drivers for deep fundamental bass tone 1" titanium diaphragm tweeter with 1.5" aluminum coil for increased percussive attack and definition Dual speaker link connections on premium Neutrik speakON* connectors (8 Ohm impedance) L-pad control lets you adjust the perfect amount of high-end detail Stylish anti-skid covered plywood cabinet designed for toughest life on the road I think this might be the third set of these that I've owned as such I may need to be forgiven if I decide to change my mind! Cab is in good used condition but does have a few scuffs, scrapes etc in line with general useage. I have a TC cover to go with it. Sadly due to size and weight it'll be collection only. I also have a matching TC112 for sale and I'd do a deal on the pair... or even more discount if you buy the matching TC Staccato 51 I'm selling.
  13. I bought this off @walshy at the start of Lockdown 1.1 and I've probably gigged it 10 times... in fact @wateroftyne may have gigged this amp more than me recently! Since buying it I've tried the IEM route and have in fact come full circle back to my favoured brand Thunderfunk! Loads of threads on BC re. these amps and please believe me, I play in a LOUD band and this amp is easily loud enough to contend with any situation. The amp is in excellent condition and no damage or issues. I think I'm going to have to insist on collection only due to the fact it is all valve! They say... WB-100- all-tube bass amplifier. A no-compromise bass head… in a compact package. The WB-100 has been created for demanding bass players who want to experience the unmistakeable power and authority you can only get from an all-valve head. Need clean? Warmth? Crunch? All your tonal needs are at your fingertips. The WB-100 will reward you with a heft and a tactile response that will support your band like never before. Unlike many other tube heads, the WB-100 is compact and easily portable. It’s hand-built here in Poland, without compromise. With 120w of all-valve power on-tap, the WB-100 can handle any live situation. DESCRIPTION. Preamp: 3x ECC83 tubes (3x12AX7) Power amplifier: 4x6L6 tubes 120W output Front panel: James-style tone stack: two-band EQ (Bass, Treble) and a passive Contour filter. No mid control needed! 14. They say... Sterling by Music Man, is for players seeking Music Man vibe and performance at a more affordable price. The SB14 is an accurate version of the popular MusicMan Sterling model and made without compromise in craftsmanship and materials. Each instrument is inspected, setup, and actually played before it is released. The Sterling SB14 has a basswood body that delivers warm tone with great sustain. Like the Music Man model, the smaller body is comfortable and easy to hold during long gigs. It features a Music Man-designed active preamp that is dead quiet and allows precise cut/boost control of bass, mid, and treble frequencies. The Music Man-designed bridge has thick saddles for stability and precise slotting that guarantees no sideways string movement during heavy playing. SB Series bass pickups utilize a 3rd hidden coil for hum cancellation. You can also switch from single-coil or humbucking mode and get all the tonal goodness without the hum and noise. Sterling by Music Man SB14 Bass Features Body: Basswood Neck: Maple Fingerboard: Rosewood 21 Frets 6-bolt MusicMan designed neck joint Pickups: MusicMan Humbucking with ceramic pole pieces and hum-canceling phantom coil MusicMan Designed 3-band Active Preamp: Volume, Treble, Mid, Bass MusicMan Designed Bridge with stainless steel saddles 34" scale Open gear heavy duty tuners Spoke Wheel truss rod adjustment This is 'probably' the best copy that Ernie Ball/Musicman have done of one of their own basses; it mimics a USA Sterling bass pretty closely. Condition is excellent and no dings or dinks that I can find. Comes with a gigbag (not Musicman). Happy to ship it if the buyer pays full insured courier costs. 'Possibly' take a trade on it but... PLEASE do not message me with bits of kit that I can clearly find on BC / eBay / FB for £200 and tell me it is worth £1000, I'm not daft and I know how to search for relative values. Pretty much new condition with no dings or dinks that I can find. Comes with a decent gigbag (not G&L).
  16. Nothing to see.
  17. Potentially the last bump before it goes for commission sale (along with a brace of my other basses).
  18. Nope, that is correct.
  19. Lovely bass! I've had a couple and they have a very unique look and sound.
  20. Not a BCer. FB time waster with a broken car, burnt out washing machine AND broken phone... how unlucky can you get?
