1. Each musician should see about £100+ a night IMHO. G
2. Yeah, the trademark DT drum sound has tamed down alot (which i like) and the bass is sticking out a little more (MM maybe is to thank for this?) All in all good. I do hate the distirted vocal part in Dark eternal night so far and some keyboard parts sound terrible. G
3. What do we thing. If you aint got it, get the version with the DVD. Its worth the £££ alone. I am gonna see them in Newcastle on Saturday Cannot wait G
4.
Name me an interesting John Myung bassline or solo. I haven't heard his stuff, just seen his video, which wasn't very good.
Check out the solo in dance of eternity Their new DT album which came out on Monday is excellent. Am gonna see Mr Myung and DT on saturday in Newcastle G
5. I have two. They are PERFECTLY accurate. Even had one drop E-C with no problems at all. Best bit of kit i ever bought for my 4 strings. G

10. I use alot of midi but Pro tools has its own FREE soft synth here steve: http://digidesign.com/index.cfm?navid=115&...amp;itemid=4784 Its pretty decent too. May be the answer to all your prayers. Its one of these additional bits of software they ship with all their new PTS versions but its here for all the folk who bought an older version. G
11. Value is only relevant to an individual person. It is only what you are willing to pay for it. "vinrage gear prices being over the top" is a subjective opinion (and one you are entitled to). G
12. Hello and welcome Sounds really good man. From a personal standpoint i would perhaps bring the drum up and the bass down a touch (after the vox its the loudest thing in the mix). Good effort though G
13. If any you guys have ever played a REALLY NICE vintage fender you would understand. Same with studio pre amps, desks and compressores I donno how or why but it just has THAT sound. G
14. Niiiiiiiiice. I love austria
15. Second piece of gear from the top. Been used in my studio rack so light use from me. Been looked aftre all its life, usual rack marks but fully functioning. Works brilliant on bass (especialy the comp and gate with noisy fx). Also has de-esser for vocals and a low shelf filter (below 80hz) which helps tighten bass sounds up a little. Seem to go for about £160 plus shipping new so around £110 sounds fair. Postage included. Garry
16. Cheers guys. Lfalex, never had anything other than a big beefy sound out of both power and pre amps. Fingers crossed. G

Custom Fender Jazz (John east - was a Geddy Lee) And its full build diary here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=17 And the Rig: Ampeg SVP Pro Pre Amp, QSC 1405 Power amp and a Hartke 410 xl Cab. 20. DI out back of ampeg with something close to the cone (usually a D112) and something a bit further back (condensor, usuallt a 414 or Nuemann if i am lucky enough to have one) for a fuller roomier sound. These are mixed and brought up at differant levels for differant tracks to suit. If a slap part or melody or whatever kicks in the di goes up and the room comes down and if its just beef i am after vice versa. Generally for demo's and quick stuff i just DI for simplicity. G
21. .... i half expected someone to execute a goat mid song..... G
