1. Aw man, thats a shame. Not that it will make a difference with the finnish you are going for. G
2. There is a good article in this months sound on sound thats worth a look. Lots of Lee 'Scratch' Perry references. G
3. This time last year overwater was underwater. Now shuker.... RIM - get your armbands bought asap
4. Nice one. You look comfortable with that style of playing so it clearly works for you. Looks like a sweet gig to get too G
5. The fella from reef - he is awesome! G
6.

The cover of my Trace 1215 combo got incinerated when someone left it on one of our light arrays. (Mind you, it was funny seeing them in the toilets try to scrape the black plastic off the bulbs!) Where can I get a recommended replacement? And yes, the band fund is paying!
One of these?......... Ebay Hamster
I had one of those for my ampeg head. Its very very well made, not too expensive and is actually padded and thicker than you would think. Highly recomended from me. G
7. Will do a straight trade for a good 3 or 4u Rack. Nothing made of plastic. A warwick gig bag and some cash would be fine though G
8.
Billy Gould - Faith no More
Agreed
9. I think it can be done. PM phatmonkey. he will sort you out. G
10. I really like C1000's as over heads. They, to my ears, sound alot mroe direct. 414's are still the daddies though.... Alas, what i wouldnt give for a tonne of cash... G
11. Cool, Cheers everyone. Its between the MXL 604's, SE 2a's or Rode NT5's. Wicked. G
12. kiwi posted a heads up about a new one a while back. It is in this forum, maybe ont he second of third page G
13. The Nt4 is not what i am after. Although i am after a pair i may from time to time wanna use them seperatly. Ill look closer into the c02. I have never really used the samson mics but there is something about them that seems a little cheap. edit: £64 quid a pair?! No, i don't think these are gonna sound that great or last....
14. steve lawson at the edinburgh festival is always a winner
15. the c02 isn't what i am after... the great thing about the MXL's is that, with 604, you get a second diaphragm which is omni pattern. And it has the -10db roll off. I will look further into the SE though.... G
16. Nothing specific. Just a small x/y pair really. The first application will be a clarsach (scottish harp) but in future will be used for room mics, acoustic guitars, percussion etc etc.... Just want something small, cheap (ish) and reliable that sounds good. G
17. Anyone? Anyone recomend anything similar?
18. Hey Gringo! The tracks in it are tough but very very rewarding and musical. G ps - last month BGM had some cool advice from Dave Marks in it too. pps - the cab is awesome
19. Check out some jamiroquai dude Nice cool grooves and some tasteful slap
