  1. All the comic replies aside, have to say this post puzzles me. I wondered if it was tongue in cheek but it appears not. So you are skint but bought a new bass, leaving you more skint? Did not having the bass mean you weren't able to gig and earn money? I'm not getting that impression. But in any case, for me honesty and trust are two of the most important things in a relationship and you clearly have broken both of these with an exceptionally selfish act. Anything that happens as a result of it is your own fault.
  2. I just uploaded the same old one. Like a pair of comfy slippers,
  3. Damnation. Someone did. Me. Simply couldn't resist.
  4. That's absolutely fab. Didn't know they did those in 30" scale. Someone buy it quickly!
  5. This is Basschat. No-one stays on topic for more than one page.
  6. The most impressive thing about that, aside from the leotards, is the roller skating. I've never been able to roller skate, just fall on my @rse straight away, and have been envious of anyone who can. He does it so effortlessly. Guilty pleasure - Cliff's Devil Woman. Always wanted to play it.
  7. 'Big Al' Saw them countless times between 1971 and 1976. I believe they lost the plot after that, with one or two highlights.
  8. The Arrow is slightly better - broader range of stuff and a longer list although no heavy rock to speak of.
  9. I have to admit it is a lot of fun to play. We do it kind of rockabilly, which suits it. But, yes, we also do a lot of 80s stuff.
  10. This looks odd. The neck looks like it is from one of those Eagle basses - with the delicate bit intact by the look of it - as the inlays are the same. But what of the rest of it? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Electric-Bass-Guitar-read-Description/273795776321?hash=item3fbf7fff41:g:Me8AAOSwv9VcqHlK
  11. Its all about context isn't it. In my little band we play a highly respectable 2 guitar version of 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' which I would personally listen to all day (slimmed down to a streamlined 6 mins) and which usually draws a little applause from the odd bloke at the back. We follow it with 'Walk Like An Egyptian', which I would probably switch off if it came on the radio, and that generally gets the whole pub going.
  12. Thank you Pretty reasonable, if it is an issue. I was hoping you'd say 5kg and cure the GAS at a stroke 😁
  13. What a fabulous looking bass. That neck is totally amazing Out of curiosity how much do they weigh, please?
  14. I have a Stagg, slightly modded so that it plays on a stand a la NS Design, that you could borrow as it is getting no use at the moment. Main problem is I am in SE Essex, best part of 100 miles away.
  15. And is now sold, thanks for your interest folks

Dave answered my plea for a mustang bass. After a bit of negotiation we arrived at a mutually acceptable deal and the bass made its way from sunny Lancs to a dull Essex. Friendly guy, good comms. Beautifully packed and I couldn't be happier with the bass. Thanks Dave.
  17. I wondered who bought mine on eBay...
  18. Just taken this off my newly arrived Squier VM Mustang and replaced it with my preferred BWB, this rather flashy mirror pickguard has a few very light scuffs but otherwise in very good nick. New they are a shade under £40 so I offer this for £20 £15 posted to UK Mainland. Of course you are more than welcome to come along and pick it up, in which case I'll knock a few quid off.
  19. That was too easy. We were looking for other things.
  20. Not including the ones I have for sale I have 6, which is the least for about 8 years. 2 x 4 strings: Squier JV Precision, Squier VM Mustang (new in) 2 x 5 strings Maruszczyk Jake 5, MM Sterling 5, modded. All black/black/maple Sigma acoustic and Stag EUB.
  21. Depending upon where and when I'd like to come. Don't let that put anyone off though
  22. Just to clarify, this is on hold pending payment - just sorting out courier details.
  23. The first one is a Squire, the second a Squier. What do I win?
  24. to be fair it pretty much is
