  1. I am simply using a 2.5mm to phono adaptor into my amp careful with the gain and the stuff via my phone sounds reasonably decent. Got very into the Sahz Trio (jazz fusion) with the 7str Fretless player from Obscura. Plus loads of stuff with Allan Holdsworth on it. Also a staggering country/chickenpickin' Guitarist called Johnny Hiland via the Kiesel Guitars Group. A change from their usual mindless shredding content.
  2. Same can be said for some of the more interesting Facebook groups. So much stuff that went under the radar. Problem is I then end up spending loads via Discogs. Still like my Stereo System, call me a Luddite. Happy Listening to you too
  3. Hope it happens, was unaware of UK visit, will do some research. On a different perspective was supposed to see Chon last night, not sure I've received refund yet;?!
  4. Like that lots, guess no Leftys available?
  5. Saw them at (I think) the Forum with a pal and they were v v good. Latter-day effect is I G.A.S for a Schecter dUg Pinnick Bass and have to console myself with reports that they have awful neck dive.
  6. Kings Cross were bloody good, sounds like managerial problems and religious strife may have done for them. Must check out some Tesla.
  7. Cobain is summed up by Uber junkie William Burroughs' reaction after a chat with him. "I don't know what's wrong with that Boy"
  8. Well I can think of 3 for Martyn, but the later Albums when he was on the sauce with Phil Collins are curate's eggs at best. Still have them cos of his gorgeous Voice.
  9. Oh god yes indeed, absolutely. Utter Dross Given the late Magenta Divine was involved I guess large quantities of Narcotics were in the Mix.
  10. Yeah the Clash's deadly earnestness and Strummer's voice made my teeth hurt.
  11. Minder (only a bit off topic cos of Dennis Waterman) theme was Mo Foster
  12. Yeah the Ksd has a (knackered) side Jack and think I could live with the r/h Pots. Tell you what though, this Bass is big and HEAVY. 13lbs plus. Might stick the Bart in my VM Jazz, now my only 4 string. At the moment my old Cort and Sire M2 are seeing me through the lockdown. Am endeavouring not to annoy my Neighbours in my block of flats, until my dreams of a somewhat more capable Home Amp come to fruition.
  13. Liked it lots on Passive when. I gave it a go. Pre-Amp is fritzed and electrics in a solder spattered mess. Am grappling with these at present. Will be getting advice on frets once Luthiers reopen, largely leaving the heavy relicing alone as it's real wear'n'tear! It's longer than any bass I've encountered too, good two inches too long to get in my Levy Gig Bag. Have a Bartolini xtct which I may install, but in two minds. As I'm left handed a Glockenklang might be good or just go for an East/Audere. Any Ideas
  14. Would that we had the opportunity to be doing so. Me and my Pal Don doing our Waldorf and Stadtler Impersonation. That being said on one occasion I did some Snark within earshot of Band's friends and family and finished Pint concurrent with hasty retreat
  15. Yup - buy yourself some Maraccas, purchase a lot of "Chemical Refreshment" then change your name to Bez!
  16. Correct you're not helping. Tried a new Kiesel Vader a friend from France had last year and I really liked that a lot.. Am contenting myself with doing my Resto Project at home. Once that's done I will see (and start trawling for Leftys again!!!).
  17. Nice. Not too many this side of the pond? Keep on gas ing for the Blue LB75 on Reverb. 5 basses are sufficient. 5 basses are sufficient.............
  18. A little goes a fairly long way tho. Prefer a little more dynamics midst the brutal noise. Have this mind you.
