  1. The future, apparently. Could it work? Listen through headphones!
  2. I had a Status Shark but only got rid to buy a Status Energy with graphite neck. I eventually sold that too to get another Status but not before some scamp lowballed me with a £300 offer!! 🙄
  3. How were the Tributes set-up out the box?
  4. I saw Less Than Jake maybe 6 years ago now at Leamington Assembly and he even commented on the Sterling. He smacked it about a bit and said "This thing is great, it never goes out of tune!". I remember it also sitting very well in the mix.
  5. Shout out to James at Diago who sent me a whole new set, free of charge, when I messaged him after buying a pair which had one of the foam washers missing! Great alternative to Schallers/Dunlops/Loxx. You can use the original strap pin screw on your bass or one of the two other sizes supplied so no mods needed. No drilling, lubricating or constant servicing. A strap pin that does its job so much better and will be has good has any strap lock out there. No need to fix anything to your strap because the button functions as normal. Check it out: Available in chrome, black and gold: Diago Twist Locks
  6. Is the neck satin or gloss finished? How are you finding it without a tone control?
  7. SB-2's are also superb for the money. TBH the whole Tribute range is.
  8. So a Sandberg or a 'Warwick' Sadowsky... I'm in the market for a new J so this couldn't have come at a better time.
  9. Simple, but your strap WILL NOT fall off. Diago Twistlock
  10. I had an MIA Fender 05 Jazz. I sold it a week later...
  11. Apparently not. I messaged him saying it's not rare and that was a production colour. Still wants £650...
  12. How much does the alder body weigh compared to the swamp ash version?
  13. I would take a Schecter any day over a Fender.
  14. The clean section is good. The drive section is good for hard rock and metal but definitely not just a hint of valvey goodness. But the worst thing? The colour button auto engaging when you hit the drive section! Hence, I would just buy the M81.
  15. Can't find it on their website but it looks like it may have a J style neck and Schecters are known to be lightweight...
  16. Thanks! I have a chance to pick up a BB434 for a good price. I've wanted a passive PJ bass with J style neck for ages and this looks like it fits the bill.
  17. For a Precision type sound, how well does the BB do?
  18. Same but have the CMD 121P. Why did I not buy this thing years back?!
  19. I thought the first lot of D Lakin basses were really good.
  20. You could argue that they're copying Flea but then you could argue Flea was copying Bootsy. Props to Davie504 etc. They're having fun, making money and have proved beyond doubt that they're great players with a great ear. My ego is small enough for me to say they would play me under the table.
  21. I've sorted out my issue now but thanks anyway.
  22. Thanks for the offer but I have used them before and just couldn't get on with them.
  23. Has anyone had experience of the 'clones' you can pick up for cheap on Amazon? Just want to make sure the rubber is of decent quality before I drop a whole £3! https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anpro-Guitar-Silicone-Rubber-Locking/dp/B06XHLP1JM/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=rubber+strap+locks&qid=1582755748&sprefix=rubber+strap&sr=8-3
