1. Something similar to carpal tunnel syndrome is dupruyten contracture . May be worth looking at it . Of course, as mentioned already seeing doctor is the way to go .

3. For months ,I hadn't got round to changing the music on my iphone. After doing it ,something happened ..the U2 album has gone! Vanished! No fiddling about with anything. There is a god
4. You can only grit your teeth, for so long. Start casually looking for someone more appreciative
5. Apparently , this was the setup in the studio for the St.Hunger album by Metallica
6. Great story, great bass !
7. I was gonna suggest uploading some pics, so we could see how 'bad ' a condition it is. Then I realised that may upset the seller,if you've contacted them raising your issues. If you purchased from a shop, you should probably come to some sort of amicable agreement (ie they may send you loads of strings etc plus price reduction ). Hope it all works out .
8. I love the string spacing on my Washburn status bass. It's my 'go to ' bass more than any other. While I like the Steinberger xm2 bass, the string spacing is not as wide , but is great for using a pick . ( yes, good for metal ) Eventually , I will probably go for a 5 string headless. I did have a Schecter 5 string bass which I sold to a basschatter on here a couple of years ago. That was good for metal The reason that went looking back ; I was in 2 bands and never felt confident playing it live doing my silly rock poses. Plus it wasn't headless , which I am used to. So, I'm wondering, has a status 5 string still got a generous ( compared to steinberger) string spacing ? (Wide) Are there any other too makes ( not too expensive but not Hohner) that can be equally suitable? Cheers
9. Creep - radiohead, we care a lot - fnm?
10. Peaches , white wedding,overkill, nib,
11. One metal band ( mercyful fate), used to have 1 guitard using a stat ,and then other a les paul. Brilliant ! Nowadays , it's a different ball game surely . Does it matter with all the other brands out there like, ibanez etc. I love the sound of the evh/ satriani/ macalpine etc. I thought that the settings of the, pedals had a lot to do with it. Then again I'm not a guitarist
12. No worries . I paid not far off the asking price 10'years ago. Times are hard ,which is the only reason I' may sell. Gllwts. On your nice bass

16. I applaud all of you who are doing this. It's not easy As some people say "they're only pieces of wood" Make sure you don't get any withdrawal symptoms
17.
Personal taste and aesthetics are a funny thing. I just wondered if there are any elements of bass design that folks just can't get past... Things that mar otherwise fabulous basses... For me there are three things. The bridge on a Lakland. I have a chum who has the most lovely Lakland 5-string. Sounds amazing, plays like a dream but for some reasaon I just can't abide the look of the big oval back plate on the bridge. Same for all Lakland's models. I couldn't have one on my bass. Therefore, for me, gear options are cut down by one top maker just because it doesn't do it for me... Totally irrational, coz they are lovely basses. Varnished fingerboards (and maple ones for that matter). Just never liked the feel of a varnished board or the look of maple over rosewood. Modern single cuts. For some reason they almost all look wrong to my eye. I have a chum with an amazing Curbow single cut. Again plays great and sounds great but the look just puts me off. In fact I can only think of one single cut where I thought, cool looking bass - an Adamovitch played by the bassist in my nephew's band. So what is it that, for no real good reason, puts you off a whole raft of bass designs?
You said exactly what I think about Lakland. Nice to look at, but the bridge looks tacky . ( ducks out of way;))
18. Can't see anything on my iPad .
19. At Donington monsters of rock festivals ( only one dayers) , we had the Bailey Brothers . "Rock not pop". Juvenile and atrocious . A different type of dj I know TBH , not all of these modern dj's are bad. Some are excellent . I think there is a skill involved , keeping hundreds/ thousands of people happy. As for nightclubs ; used to be mainly for soul boys , ( and girls) and smoothies. Oh, and don't forget the fights . Don't miss them at all. Now , the youngsters have their weekends in town centres . You know the rest.
