  1. Looks fabulous! Can you post links to video clips from the tour if there are any?
  2. Excellent! Next step, to remove all variables and uncertainty in tone, is 3D printed plucker and fretters driven by fast motors under computer control responding to MIDI. That takes out that pesky player who keeps saying "the tone is in the fingers" Seriously though - great stuff and very, very impressive!
  3. MusicBee doesn't use folder.jpg for album art, so it's out of the running. WinAmp is good, and is ehat O have used the past few days. Is here a way to make it respond to media keys on the keyboard? A mini view between the bike interface and the really thin one would be nice, but not important. Will be trying foobar today. Thanks again everyone.
  4. Currently playing with WinAmp and MusicBee. I'll checkout Foobar as well. 👍
  5. I'll have to check that out. I use VLC as the player on my phone. I don't think it will automatically shuffle all albums though. I'll take another look at the PC version. The version if iTunes I have is from about 2007, and is only used to back up an iPad of the same vintage (which isn't used for music!) Windows Media Player Classic is just as old, so I'll look at iTunes too. Thanks for the suggestions- any more?
  6. I have a very simple request. Is there a media player for Windows 11 that does the following: Does not overwrite the metadata for my files at random Uses folder.jpg as album art where it is in the folder Plays mp3, flac, and all the usual subjects from local files. (Media server or network shares optional) Does playlists etc. AND Does random album shuffle. That is, randomly picks an album, plays the tracks in order, and then picks another album at random Most of the time I just use the classic Windows Media Player as I like the layout and being able to see the current queue as well as browsing albums, but I would really like to have it chose albums at random when I'm working. The only thing I've found was Music Bee (a few years back), but it wasn't great. Any suggestions anyone?
  7. I rather like that. I don't need it, but good luck with the sale. 👍
  8. Straight to the Famous Quotes thread 🤣
  9. CAB physics is too complicated for me these days. In fact, spelling AMP or CAB is beyond me most of the time too, so I just DI and PA. Fewer letters, plus it's then the sound man's problem 😉
  10. Welcome aboard! No idea is anyone in the US has built the BC112 but, as you've probably already realised, @Phil Starr is the CAB man.😁
  11. While I am sure that the builder here does not partake*, there are some that must surely be on drugs. "Luthier's Lucy" maybe?
  12. I meant if you lurk round your neighbour's house prying on their behaviour you might learn things about them you're not supposed to, or really didn't want to! I've just noticed you're in Norway, I apologise in advance for the English schoolboy humour!
  13. +100 for getting the rhyme correct.
  14. Just seen this. Hats off to him! He's making stuff for his own benefit, flogging the assembled parts so they don't clutter up the house, and someone is happy to pay £16 for it. Sounds OK to me, as long as I don't have to play it.
  15. In nuclear physics the strong force is mediated by gluons, which are pairs of subatomic quarks. There is already the pair of "strange" and "charm" quarks. Are you sugesting a new pairing of a "Bizzare" quark and a "WTF" quark?
  16. Welcome, err back? Lurk and learn - it sounds like a good idea on BC, but would get you into trouble with the neighbours...
  17. Welcome aboard! Check out the SW Bass Bash in the Events thread.
  18. Stealing that one!
  19. Grateful Dead, Cornell '77
  20. Not with this band - I am very definitely the least experienced and capable. All the others could wing it by ear.
  21. Can we pin this thread? Or a pinned post in Wanted and Marketplace with the list of red flags to watch out for?
  22. I'm playing in an ecumenical service next Wednesday. Yesterday afternoon, ie a week in advance, I had a message listing the songs, the keys, and the CCLI numbers. Woohoo! No excuse for messing up now.
  23. Welcome aboard! From just outside of Birmingham, England!
  24. You are very welcome to borrow my #2, but I suspect a 5 string bass currently residing in Birmingham with a partially jammed truss rod isn't going to be much good to you. PM me if it is.
  25. I agree it's a T2 fail, but you don't have to sign up for the T2 hardcore/hairshirt version. I'm not. I'd be interested to know how you get on with the lesssons, I could do with some technique lessons and there are more tutors. on-line in person these days.
