  1. Been having a play and I’ve worked out the volume , I hadn’t selected the right ir cab 🙄, I’ve got the SV810 and it’s much better, played a few Marley’ tracks and it’s a decent reggae sound , I could get addicted to this 😁
  2. Thanks for that, I’ll check it out
  3. Thanks Buddster, is the mighter amp app different to the Nux one
  4. Best advice here, this is what I do just for exercise , I just go up and down the fretboard alternating as there’s lots of finger variations ,while watching tv sometimes with bass unplugged , I found it increases speed too , alternating finger picking at the same time
  5. Some Freddie McGregor today
  6. Well this dropped through my door yesterday and I had a short play with it last night, I haven’t read up anything yet just installed the app and plugged it in and played, so far I really like it , doesn’t seem very loud but maybe I need to try my various other headphones and read the settings properly, one thing that’s really good is I can just play to YouTube or any music on my iPad with no messing around, can’t wait to play with it later
  7. Fantastic pictures there VType, those valves look great
  8. Fabulous jazz, I was only joking about the colour earlier on 😁, thanks
  9. Welcome Furnance
  10. That’s really lovely Walshy, congrats 👍
  11. Lovely mr B 👌
  12. Even I know sunburst sounds best
  13. That’s a beauty, thanks for sharing, wasn’t that a custom colour back then, how does it sound and play
  14. Thanks for that, great bass GLWYS
  15. I remember a similar listing too
  16. I can do everything I want on a 4, and all mine are real basses
  17. Not always nilo 😁, but I think the VI was in the 1961 catalog as new , I’ll check
  18. 4 string precision in 51 I think, the 6 came in the 60s
  19. Really liking this band’s cover versions , great voice and playing
  20. I switched to 5 strings for a while and quite enjoyed it, I didn’t find myself using the lower notes much even playing reggae but some basslines seemed easier to play going across the board as opposed to up and down, I’m glad I did it but at heart I prefer 4 strings , I also like my 70s fenders which are fours
  21. I’ve just been through all my parts boxes and can’t believe I haven’t got any, surely someone on basschat must have a few for you
  22. You got some fabulous basses there, thank you for sharing, can I ask how would you compare the 63 and 64 , is there much difference
  23. Wow, really like that, an amazing pair
  24. Oh my, that’s a stunner and all original 👌
