  1. I used to have one of those back in the day for making kitchen units
  2. Hi Pete, If you wanted to know the technical differences you could give Ashdown a call and speak to Dave green, he will tell you everything you want to know , he’s their amp designer and technician 🙂
  3. Just bought some strings from Adrian, quick delivery and a gentleman to deal with, many thanks, Tony 👍
  4. This is a great track I like to listen to now and again, you’ll recognise it from the great Steven segal film
  5. Amazing ☝️, one day I’ll get there 😁
  6. Big welcome Don , hope you are well , great to have you here 👍
  7. I’ll check 👍, that sounds nice
  8. Thanks cuzzie, I wasn’t dragging the track across, which I’ve just done 👍 and it plays , but I can’t hear the bass unless I switch the irig2 switch off of FX and on to thru , then the track goes off
  9. None taken , I was totally joking , it really isn’t class 😁
  10. Steady on, that was a class instrument back in the day 😂😂
  11. Thanks cuzzie 👍
  12. Many Thanks cuzzie, I’ll take another look, I lost hours yesterday trying to figure it out , I was looking for the simplest way to record the bass over a backing track
  13. Thanks woodinblack, yeah it’s on my iPad, I’ll take a look at JamUp and BIAS amp 👍
  14. Quick question here for a novice 🤓, I installed GarageBand yesterday, and I have an irig2, and after a lot clicking around managed to import a backing track a friend sent me, and I’ve sort of found out how to record my bass, but I can’t play over the backing track and hear what I’m playing, it’s one or the other, on this video at 3.42 it says there’s a monitor option, but it isn’t on the app, any ideas, cheers
  15. It’s not the greatest video quality, but I enjoyed this solo at 2.24 over a Burning spear cover
  16. It’s this one Dave, it’s pretty battered but it still actually works 😁, although the jack is really crackly, I might change it in the summer for a bit of fun
  17. Hi myke, i can’t help with the song but I found these exercises by Mark to be helpful for me to build up my speed when I struggled a bit with a few tracks, particularly the one about 5.20 🙂
  18. It’s right what some are saying about the jedson basses being over priced now, but mine served me well, I bought it in around 1978 and it was quite old then, it was my first bass and all I could afford, I had lessons and went on to play in 2 reggae bands with it, from what I can remember it sounded pretty good through a HH amp and 2x15 cabs , I’ve still got it for nostalgia, it hangs on my summerhouse wall, I’ve got pics but I think most have seen it now 🙂
  19. Very nice Doctor J, they have a sleek look about them and quite a powerful sound I believe 👍
  20. Welcome Goo 👍
  21. Many thanks ped👍
  22. I’m not sure ped, should I have something
  23. I’m permanently logged in on safari with an iPad Pro, but lately it keeps going off and I have to keep logging in, is it something my end 🙂
  24. Two versions here some might be interested in of , Take it Easy, the first is I think the original by Dennis brown around 1973 on studio 1, and my favourite, a great heavy version with Gregory isaacs, mixed by Joe Gibbs
  25. Welcome Plaaty 👍
