  1. Cheers Luke , I don’t do Facebook ,but I might get miss RB to have a browse for me 🙂
  2. Nothing definite yet, I’m looking at jazzes mainly, possibly a 62-66 white and tort with the dot fret markers before they changed to block inlays , I wasn’t really a fan of inlays , but saying that I viewed a 72 and a 74 I quite liked but they turned out to be not all original 🙂
  3. That 15 cab is so good, I had one of those, it’s very kind of you to recycle this to someone Leon 👍
  4. I can only echo what Lozz has said, I used markbass heads and cabs for years and they are great, especially the VLE And VPF controls, I still use markbass cabs but my recent addition of the Ashdown RM500 is just so good, if you can pick one of these up I really would recommend it, it’s a very light , powerful and versatile amp, and the fan is very quiet for home use, it also has a headphone socket, which I haven’t tried yet 🙂
  5. Thanks Old man Riva, 👍 that’s really good to hear, as I’m finding out , the vintage market is quite a minefield
  6. Cheers, I’ve already emailed him 👍
  7. Hi CLR and welcome, have you tried different strings to eliminate anything else
  8. I bought a few cds from a charity shop for my work van and this was in it, what a great tune
  9. Thanks stingray, it looks like they are uk based too, at Leigh on sea , I’ll keep an eye on them, they’ve got a nice 61 jazz , it’s a shame it’s been refinished
  10. It’s been relisted as a copy , https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Jazz-Bass-Guitar-Used-/313366132081?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
  11. I think this is an informative thread, I know very little about import charges etc, and lots of the vintage basses I look at are abroad, so it’s good info for me 🙂
  12. Meterman, I was playing a few Basslines to an old set list earlier and I think this is the same as your bass 🙂
  13. Thanks cam, happy new year to you 👍
  14. Yeah absolutely Andy 👍, and you’ve confirmed what I thought about it being not being genuine, I thought I would have a stab at it for a few quid as a project just to leave in my summerhouse but not now, btw , I like your avatar pic☝️
  15. Thanks mowf, yeah looks like the same basses
  16. So did I 😁, mine don’t have the top corners angled on the plate
  17. I’m thinking it might be a re badged squier
  18. I’m not familiar with squier but, could they be them
  19. Ive put a few bids in and I’ve had lots of jazzes , and to my knowledge they have all had either US or M serial numbers on the back of the headstock, this one has the 60s logo but nothing on the back , any thoughts 🙂https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Jazz-Bass-Guitar-Used-/313364930017?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
  20. My Sandberg TT has a smaller body than my fender jazzes 🙂
  21. Looks like it could possibly be this one
  22. I’ve found this place that has quite a few vintage fenders/basses in stock , but they are based in Italy,https://www.hendrixguitars.com/Hxbass.htm
  23. Nice looking bass meterman ☝️,
  24. I was playing my jazz with the ramp today, how are you getting on with your one jimothey 🙂
  25. The fender 62 reissues came with a grounding strip , they didn’t do anything they were decorative, the wire was under the bridge
