    I still use a LB30 with an Ashdown 115 cab for home use and it sounds great, but I found the MB cabs sounded better basswise for reggae and dub , I suppose the best way to describe it would be warmer

    I had Ashdown cabs with Ashdown heads for years, then switched to markbass heads with the same cabs, then bought 2x15 NY markbass cabs with markbass heads, now I use Ashdown RM500 head with markbass cabs, if that makes sense 😁, but I’m now contemplating a CTM 100 with MB cabs

    Welcome skin lewis ☝️, great to have you here , the late 70’s and 80’s was a superb time for reggae and dub, I’d say most of my all time favourites were released around then , I dig the vinyl out of my loft every now and then, it really takes me back

    I’ve found Custom shop 62 have the full range , probably my favourite, and I thought toneriders which I’ve got in one of my precision’s, sound very similar and are less expensive

    I’ve got the 500 and it’s perfect for what I play, they are a very versatile amp, congrats Spyder ☝️

    I don’t use pedals really I get the sound I want from my amps, but sometimes just for a change I use the tech 21 vt bass pedal, which I don’t think makes it better, just different
