  1. Thanks cuzzie 👍. I’ve got labella double ball end flats on it now, it’s sounding great
  2. Welcome Norman 👍
  3. Thanks, I fine tuned it yesterday and locked it in place
  4. Thanks I’ll give that a try, the active switch really boosts the bass, I had to roll it back a bit today, which is really unusual for me 😁
  5. Initially I was looking at a steinberger XL2 ,but I didn’t really want to buy one in case I didn’t get on with it , so I thought I’d try the hohner first , I’m so used to my jazzes this is a nice change , they are pretty cool
  6. Miami vice style, i like it 😁
  7. I was playing mostly sitting today, thanks I’ll try that 👍
  8. Ah yeah, I’ve found that too, I’ve landed on the wrong fret a few times, I’ve been playing it quite a bit today and I think I’m getting used to it 🙂
  9. I haven’t tried that yet 😁, but I’m sure you could, they are really well built little basses aren’t they
  10. I bet the tunes sound superb through your system, especially the dubsters, I play mine through my bass rig , markbass 15s with an interface, then I can play along, I haven’t got as much vinyl as I used to have so I too have to rely on YouTube, but some of the songs aren’t on YouTube, I was thinking of starting a channel but I don’t really have the time . btw, I like the Pluto track, haven’t heard that in a long time 🙂
  11. They look really good 👍
  12. It would be worth getting it authenticated by a reputable person/shop , they can check the neck stamp, pot dates and wiring, pickups, bridge, etc, and take lots of pictures for you and provide you with the paperwork, which would help you value and sell it, or if your going to keep it it’s nice to know what you’ve got . I nearly bought a 66 jazz a few weeks ago and the guy sent me about 50 pics which was fantastic
  13. Have you had a look under the pickguard yet 🙂
  14. Yeah I totally get that ubit, I don’t really dig in as such, I play with a soft touch so I can get away with a low action with no fret noise or buzz, whereas a friend of mine plays in a heavy metal band and when I’ve seen him play he plays quite hard, his action is about 3mm on his jazz, he can play my basses but I find his hard work to fret , perhaps I’m just lazy 😁
  15. I’ve found out that the original was by Winston Curtis-Otis brothers 1973, great tune

  20. Cheers , I’m using a markbass keeper at the moment
  21. Looks like it’s only available in the US
  22. Spot on ez, many thanks 👍

  24. Well I’m now in the headless club, I bought a Hohner B2A and I’m absolutely loving it, especially in active mode, it’s got a great sound and it’s really comfortable to play, quick question, what stand are you guys using for them , google wasn’t a lot of help
