  1. I think you might have nailed it there JL , a quick google came up with a similar thing
  2. When I bought my BB415 it came with a well used set of D’addario half rounds fitted, they sound like flats but feel a bit like worn rounds
  3. I’d say yes , they sit on your lap quite comfortable 🙂 what a great idea
  4. That’s really cool, how does it sound
  5. Yeah, mine didn’t have the cover, this was the cab I had, it was quite a beast back in the day , and fairly heavy
  6. Mine did well back in the day, I was in 2 reggae bands with it, I think I paid £30 at the time as it was all I could afford then, I played it through a HH ic 100s amp and 2x15 cabs , sounded good from what I can remember
  7. Welcome joe 👍
  8. Welcome Morton 👍
  9. That was mine too, it served me well and I’ve still got it and it still works, it hangs on my summerhouse wall now
  10. I don’t think I’ve ever done that on any bass 😁
  11. There’s a few suggestions here https://www.talkbass.com/threads/freddie-washington-strings.1443056/
  12. Probably one of my favourite funky Basslines and a great song, I attempt to play it but that’s about it 😁, I did read that he played a 72 precision with rounds , could the red silks be labella ?
  13. I was always taught to play 1fpf so I’ve pretty much always done that, but there’s no strict rules , if your finding it easier to play that way , then do it, you can always fine tune your technique when your more comfortable , most of all just enjoy what you’re playing 🙂
  14. This track is best played loud for maximum bass , mash you down by Cornell Campbell
  15. I’ve done it myself, I replied to a 10 year old thread without noticing the date, and yes the bass was sold 😁
  16. That looks great, really nice job 👍
  17. Yeah I like a bit of Alborosie, this is my son’s favourite song and a black Uhuru track you don’t hear very often
  18. The new one from Don Chandler , great Basslines
  19. Peter Tosh from the album Dread or Alive, Robbie on bass
  20. Labella LTF’s on all my jazzes, nice tension and sound for what I play, if you want a bit more zing I would suggest TI’s
  21. Is the tab wrong stubz
  22. Lloyd Robinson cus-cus , great one to play
  23. I did think that but the jazz knobs are too far away , or is it for a different bass 🙂
  24. I’ve seen those before, I’ve got no idea what the holes are for
