    The reason I only use tube heads now is I play mainly at home or studio these days and I really don’t like fan noise, if I do play elsewhere I’ve got other heads for that

    I’ve got the V4B and against the CTM100 the thing I’d say is that the eq is pretty limited, whereas the V4B has a much wider variety of tones ,not that I use much in what I play but the V4 midrange is immense, I’ve never had either up full

    Jazzes and precision’s are pretty much all I play now, when I go into my bass room I will always pick up a jazz first, and then the P, the key for me is finding the sweet spot on a jazz which suits what you’re playing at the time out of interest what makes it easier to play for you
