Reggaebass

I’ve found those to be the best but they are expensive I thought, mine came unstuck so I put a few screws in it, it’s on an old precision that’s got some marks on so I wasn’t too bothered about the holes, but I didn’t want to fit one to my new jazz

I took the foam off some spare face shields at work, so I’ve got lots to practice with 😁

That one is a nordymute I bought but I bought the wrong size, the rubber is good though , Nice one, I hadn’t thought of the floor mat material, where did you get yours from

I’m always messing around with various mutes, i like the sound and it suits some of tracks I play, I usually just put foam under the bridge which is ok but it can put the intonation out a touch so I’ve been making a few of my own, I had trouble keeping the slots square ,but I found my grandads old little square and with some masking tape it’s worked a treat. which ones are you using

Your not being over critical, that’s way off , I’d be sending that straight back

Bass snobbery , well I only buy US fenders so I suppose yes , but I also have a Kay and I nearly bought a sue Ryder P bass, so not sure what that makes me 🤔

If they still sound good to you then no, all that happens to flats is that they mellow with time and get smoother , I prefer them like that but some like them to sound brighter

That’s good, I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say they don’t like them, only that they weigh a bit but weight doesn’t bother me

The V4 drops a really nice reggae tone too, that’s why I’ve held on to mine, I have the treble fully off , mids on 10 o clock, bass on 2 o clock and the ultra low on , simple eq and it sounds great

I’ve always used 15’s with no problem whatsoever and I still do , but I nervously took the plunge and bought a barefaced big baby 2 , not expecting it to have enough low end for me, I was completely wrong, for a 112 it really puts out some bass
