    Hello Basschatters, A guitarist friend of mine has started working with a solo artist by the name of Dan Knight in the Northampton / Peterborough area, and they're looking for a bassist to join them. As I understand it, the plan is to do some live gigs to support the promotion of Dan's recordings which are already available on Spotify.     Hi Folks, Had the pleasure of meeting Julian, aka @Soulmanyesterday to hand over my Ashdown CTM100 amp to him in exchange for a few shekels. Typical Basschat deal - we met in a pub car park just outside Shrewsbury (as I'm staying nearby for a few days)... It would have looked a bit dodgy if we hadn't had our two better halves with us to provide a sheen of respectability to the proceedings.. 😁 So, what can I say that hasn't been said about Julian already... He's a great guy to deal with, excellent comms, and has been a long-standing contributor to the Basschat community. Suffice to say, deal with Julian in absolute confidence, Folks. 👍 It was really good to meet you finally, Julian, and I hope you enjoy the amp! Here's to the next time.. 😊 Nik

    I've been lucky enough to have had the chance to use this amp a couple of times and it really is good! With it's semi-parametric eq, it's similar in some ways to both the really good SWR and Eden amps of the 1990s, as well as being a forerunner of the Thunderfunk amps. But it definitely has its own distinct character... My memory of it is that its very loud, punchy, and detailed sounding. It will reproduce the inherent character of your bass really faithfully, but give you lots of scope to shape your tone.. Whoever buys this won't be disappointed - as well as giving you a great sound, it's also uber-rare and very cool looking IMHO. GLWTS Mike 👍

    Wow - I can't believe this is up for sale @jhk! Such a powerful and brilliant sounding amp. Amazing eq, bi-amp facility, compressor... As warm and punchy as anything, and so solidly made too. I've lost count of the number of times I heard this in action at one of the South East Bass Bashes, paired with your Yamaha 6 string.. What a sound combination that was! Anyway, I hope you're keeping well Jon, and GLWTS! 😊

I always found wedding gigs to be the weirdest of the lot when I used to do them as part of a busy functions band.. Always seemed to go from one extreme to another, with not much in between! 😁

    My sentiments too... And like you, I've owned a number of these over the years. Judging by the headstock, this one looks like one of the early PB or even JG models. Whatever, it's a stunner! GLWTS
