I’m a ‘60s child and am not a fan of that decade, although I’m aware of its significance. The ‘70s were good for what I was listening to, but it’s the ‘80s I like the best. Yes, like all decades, there was a goodly amount of dross, but there was so much good stuff, at least to my ears (see @Rich’s post above for some prime examples) and it was when I was first drawn to play the bass (Pino). For me, it’s the ‘90s where music went to die (at least post ‘91). However, if you were into Britpop, you’ll love that period.

Yes, it is. One of my all time favourites and a big influence. Tom Brechtline on drums, making up one of my top 3 rhythm sections. If you haven’t already, check out Roscoe’s solo album. It’s not your typical solo bass album, there’s only one very small bass solo, more a long fill. It’s his songs featuring a number of great guitarists.

Did this to my Rob Allen MB2. I contacted Rob beforehand to check if it would be OK, he mentioned nut slots and truss rod adjustment, but it'd be OK. Tried it, didn't need to change the slots and the relief was rock solid. However, I changed back to B-G as the C wasn't as useful as I thought it might be and I missed the low D.

Pre-ordered the CD pack the other day, received an email saying that they (HMV) wouldn't have enough for immediate despatch . Now waiting...
