Ahhh that explains the nosiness, I have to say I have been nothing but impressed with the 2i2. Great piece of kit, and great service from Focusrite. Love the software and vst/AAX deals as well 👍

Thanks guys, and in case you cant tell from the pic I have a fairly simple setup: Focusrite 2i2 Nektar Impact LX25+ Technics SX-P50 A load of guitars and my little collection of Warwicks's Everything runs through the PC into Pro Tools mostly though sometimes Reaper or Cakewalk But what is nice is that we are having a loft conversion done later this year and Im going to get a new purpose built studio with a bit more space up in the loft. I will post some pics of that when all the builders finally bugger of. 😎

This is the first time I have had a crack at this little monthly comp, but I have had my home studio up and running for a couple of weeks now so thought i would through my oar in the pond. The picture just reminded me of our cat and this is what i think is going through her head as she struts around the house, her name is 'Bootsy; by the way...

In order of importance: For my amp, great sound, flexibility and portability. For my bass, great sound, playabilty/comfort, flexability, looks great.

I think I would be more nervous if i didn't feel nervous... if that makes sence I think I suffer more from nervous energy than any kind of anxiousness, and that energy and adrenaline spike is one of the things I love about giging. I think I play better with that little edge.

A good nightcap or three normally does the trick for me...

Hmmm, tricky question this one and I think everyone's situation and criteria is going to be different. Things have changed a lot for me in the last year or so after running my own Locksmiths business for more than 10 years, I officially packed that in last year to work with my Wife (she is a piano/singing teacher) and now I am teaching guitar/bass/Ukelel and music theory for over 30 private students a week. I'm playing in three bands and gigging weekly, sometimes more and i have my first bit of paid session/recording work in 25 years coming up at the end of April. I would say these days teaching/gigging etc is probably 95% of my income ( I still do the odd Locksmiths job if it comes up and I have the time) all nicely squared of with the tax man. If I would class myself as Pro or Semi Pro is hard to say it depends on the criteria you use for those terms, am I a Professional Educator or teacher, a pro musician, a semi pro bassist, a Jack of all trades lol It really all depends how you look at it.

So many times... and recently acquiring a bass with coil taps and a 3 band EQ does not help.

It depends on what your playing, but I like to think I sit somewhere in the middle, so I can dig in or play lighter as appropriate, that's how dynamics work.

'Rhythm Stick', With Ian Dury and the Blockheads, or 'Tom Sawyer' , but Geddy is still gonna have to sing it though.

Less than 24hrs after spotting this in the for sale section of the forum, I had this little baby hanging on the wall in my studio and a massive smile on my face. I have to say a big thanks to @Kev for being the easiest guy in he world to deal with, a quick drive about a third of the way across the country and a late night meet up at a very dark motorway services I was on my way home with my new toy. I have been playing Warwicks pretty much exclusively for the last 20 years and had a $$ for a few months last year but I thought it lacked a bit of individuality and a little something tone wise, but a very nice, very versatile bass, but it got moved on in the end. This thing however is a totally different beast. Firstly the tiger wood top and swamp ash body look beautiful. This bass is No30 of a limited run of 85 made in 2010 and within that 85 only a small No. were made with this specific hardware. Instead on the standard two MEC humbuckers it has two Bartolini humbuckers and a 3 band MEC preamp as opposed to the normal 2 band found on a $$. This combination makes this thing sing, being able to push the mids really brings it alive compared to my experience with the standard $$. Suffice to say I am very very happy with it and will stop gushing and show you some pics. @Kev I dont know what you were thinking parting with this, but thanks again for making it so easy... and you cant have it back

Just bought a beautiful Warwick $$ from Kev, and it could not have been easier. A cold dark meetup at the motorway services was an absolute pleasure
