1. Here is another classic, with a great bass part, skip forward to about 54 seconds to get past the gubbins. More pure cheese... but kinda funky.
2. That's going to be an interesting watch, Queen was the first band I ever really got into when i was about 10 or so, and he was never the interesting one, but over 30 years later and wow so many great lines and great songs. But looking at the image above.. what the hell has he done to his knee! that just doesn't look natural to me lol
3. Has to 2+2... helps with my OCD
4. I've not been back here for quite a while, but I thought I would share what I have been playing around with for the last few months. I'm sure I can squeeze just a couple of new toys on here though

Starting from Scratch

Thanks for the info so far guys. For a long time now I have been using an MXR M87 into my trusty old Boss GT-6B and then into my Sansamp Bass Driver Deluxe, mainly because the amp modelling and the compression on the GT-6B are crap. What I do use it for are overdrive, EQ, chorus, octave, envelope filter/synth, Wah wah and as a DI if I'm not using the Sansamp. Oh and a tuner. Out of that lot all I want to hang onto is the M87, The Sansamp is great but my two main basses are Warwick Thumbs and the Mid frequency suck on the Sansamp just kills their tone, I do boost the mids with the EQ but that then robs me of a lot of flexability. Now this is what is making it hard for me to work out what I need, I'm currently involved in three projects all very very different. I'm playing with a very funky kinda jazz fusion originals band, a very typical 60's 70's pub rock band (the sansamp is actually just the ticket here) and then just because we can we are trying to put together an 80's metal tribute act, so you can see why I'm throwing this question out there lol.
6. Hi guys I have been a user of multieffects for a good few years now, but I have decided to go the individual pedal root and build myself a board etc. I have a rough plan as to what I'm going to do, but my question is, what would you do. There are a lot of guys here who have been using pedals and building their own boards for years. So with that experiance in and lessons learned from past mistakes how would you start from scratch now if you had... let's say 1k to spend?
7. Hi from sunny South West London... well at least it was today I have been lurking around on the forum for a few weeks and thought it was time I went legit. It seems to be a really good community here a real wealth of knowledge, advice and information, and I'm looking forward to being a part of it. As for me, I'm 46 and living in Wimbledon, South London . I've been playing since I was 16 and have played in all sorts of bands, from jazz funk to wedding bands, a Led Zep tribute band and a few bands playing our own material, did a few tours around the UK and Europe a bit of session work and was pretty much a full time musician through out the 90's. I ended up at university and have a degree in music/popular music. Then me and my Wife spent 2 years in Nashville working as sound techs. Then kids and real life came along and the basses have been under the bed for the last 10 years. Now that the kids are a bit older I have been finding the time to play again, and now I cant stop. I've been playing with a blues band for a couple of months but I really want something a bit more challenging. So there you have most of my life story..lol As for gear I admit to being a bit of a Warwick fanboy, I have a 99 Corvette standard which I will take with me to the grave, a 97 Corvette FNA, and an Overwater Contemporary Jazz bass. Amp wise I currently have my trusty old Warwick Sweet 15 which I have had for years, and I am currently shopping around for a new gig rig, so spending a lot of time in the amps, section. Anyway thanks for having me and I hope I can make a decent contribution to a great community... Cheers JBP
