2.
Just go to post as normal and all will become clear
Your good you are

4. Dumb question alert: Is there a clear "For Dummies" procedure for placing ads & paying subscription fee's I have an ad to place but are unsure if i pay first then place my add....how does it work I'm a little confuddled
5. Eden Nemesis amp Ibanez bass that is all
6. I'd say get the first few gigs down & then tinker & develop your style as you go. If you are a perfectionist then keep the bass lines solid & perfect rather than complicated & twiddly ......that's the lead guitarist's job & they are weird.......and they often hurt Gerbils.
7. I always liked Ric's .......Now as a free thinking person that brand will always represent pettiness & over protection. everything I hate in big business. Now I'm an ex fan
8. Ooo I'm considering selling my Boss ME-20B. will give you a shout if your interested Dont worry BC if I do sell all charges will be covered
9. I'm open to free stuff corruption ..........anyone........please
10.
Google anything bass related and you'll find BassChat pretty high up on that list. That's how I found BassChat a few years ago - everything I Googled ended up with a link to some bl**dy thing called BassChat - so I came, I saw, I stayed.
Exactly the same reason why I joined this forum. With my return to playing bass I kept looking at various things & all I realised I was doing was googling stuff and coming back here so after being a lurker I decided to log on & make the place that little bit more random.....And Goaty !

Do you have any recordings of the fuzz mate ?
12. ***Massive sigh of relief*** Thank god I'm not the only one in this situation I have two multi effects pedals & just cant get my head around them. I'm actually considering putting them up on here to offer them for trades against individual pedals.
13. One of my favourite songs of all time http://youtu.be/2MMflNf-ocg A band I am loving at the moment "My morning jacket" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bpdwwa7lsUI&feature=share&list=FLZYjF1DsK1kUNdJZq6rvsAw

16.
...and thus were triggered the Sirens of Doom, resonating throughout the realm in discordant unison... 'WOOOOOAAAAAAIIIIIIII.....WOOOOOAAAAAAIIIIIIII....' ...until the blessed sound of the Last Trump calls for peace and quiet once more. Thank you, fumps; thank you very much.
I did the Last trump last night.......I was a little worried afterwards
17. No you call Tobias & ask if you can get a free bass for the lifetime free advertising you are about to give them !
18. lol I was not even sure I was there until last night, I've always spent personal practice time trying to tweak sounds & thinking ....."Aww it'll be reet I'll sort it some other time". But last night it occurred to me I have not done that for nearly a year. I've reached a bass related level of dandy-ness that I dare not dream exists. All is good in the world....also added to this I have just realised it's Friday ........I thought it was Thursday ....whoohoo! This deserves a nee norrr **Ahem..........Neeee nooooorrrr neeeee nooooorrrr
19. Last night I had the house to myself so the TV was not switched on & I just sat & played bass all night. I played a few songs & played along with them and also stuck some trance tunes on & jammed along with them. I was happily playing & then I noticed I was smiling to myself. It took me a few moments to realise why I was smiling, then it hit me that this is the best sound I've ever had on bass, the tone was spot on the fact that I could change the sound in one sweep of a knob on my bass and the whole thing can sound like a totally different bass set up.........It's the first time I have noticed how contented I am with the gear that I have. I have no Gas to speak of......I am happy It's a rare moment in life when you feel that there is no more I can do, no more things I can buy to make me any happier. I do love effects pedals & experimenting with sounds, but as a clean pure bass sound, I honestly don't have any compulsion to change what I have. Good times ....very good times
20.
yes - LOADS of covers bands. The one I was in folded 4 days ago and I don't want to join another bloke-band doing the same old pub-rock stuff. My aim with the funk/soul setlist was to come up with foot-tapping accesible songs that, even if people didn't know them, would nevertheless get people boogying. Steam by Laura Vane is a good example. Trying to do something just that little bit different. As most people have said, finding a female singer who could sing that lot is going to be a real problem. I do have somebody in mind, but she's a professional session singer and I don't think we'll be able to offer her enough money.
I agree here if your going to do covers a few unfamiliar but good tunes I dont think will hurt at all
21. OOO now then I was just thinking about this, the thing I dislike about music is the "music belongs to musicians attitude". Music should belong to everyone & not belong to the few.
