1. change your price! I know someone - on this forum - who sold one recently for £200... andy
2. my heart beats to the pulse of classic rock and some of the metal atuff, korn, system of a down etc.. aargh its a temporary situation and you really need to face those demons! I'm in an original band at the moment that is very in the vein of this rubbish indie rock feckin nonsense and I'm bored! My first son as born eight years ago. I have been out of playing forseven of those years and my playing is sh*t...but it is now getting back to where it was ten years ago and I know yearn to be back playing in y original 80's rock band.... andy
3.
Lets put it this way....Ive started to sell off my gear.
Why??
4. hey andy have a bump on me - terrific bass and worht the dough! andy
5. Are you really that bothered? I cannot be arsed with rude, non communicative, hey dude hows it hanging man nonsense any longer! maybe its age? maybe you are inwardly looking for that different thing but have not admitted it to yourself yet?? I always believe in be who you are and do what you do while sticking the fingers up to the man!! andy
6. hi s5s, these good chatters have given you great advice: pup height active and eq battery fret buzz maybe you should return it to the shop? the folks there can check it out and advise you thereon. best to do this now so you don't mess up your warranty and, if you end up in a consumer conflict, you will have a time line started as evidence. andy
7. I'm totally biased! I love the tone my svt 3pro puts out. An all tube svt II is worth considerably more than a svt 3 pro. (s/h) I have just sold my old svt 3, was hard but needed some cash! superb sounding and preferred it to my brand new 3 pro after re-tubing it. good luck andy
8. mimimalism is definitely the way to go. In process of cutting the rig back - sold the b115e and the svt 3 pro about to sell my little crate amp, the basses will be difficult... I do indeed own a house but find the missus more draining in terms of money! Ironside, hope you are feeling much fitter and well now. My father (rip) was dogged by heart attacks and strokes, not a nice place to be and a fear of mine as I get older. His first attack was in his mid 40's. The closer I get to this age the more worried I become... andy
9. I recall 10 years ago living in my modest flat in the west end of Edinburgh...I was skint, struggling to make my way but, had my Yamaha TRB 5 and my Hughes & Kettner bassbase 400 with a Trace Elliot 4x10 cab. Now, at that point I was happy and content with my gear having no need to buy other stuff or upgrade as my gear was more than fit for purpose. I now have constant gas and change gear regularly. I want to return to being skint but content - how do I get there? andy
10. ahh! experience wins over online reviews. I've bought it to fit with the acoustic gigs I will be doing over the festival period here in Edinburgh. It kinda fits the band look. will see how I get on - traded my ampeg b115e cab + £60 for this, so don't feel to worried yet! cheers for the replies folks andy

16. its almost as if he wants to hit 'greed' targets, y'know eyes bigger than wallets, but its kinda crappy £950? insane!
17. 18. true or false? although he has left a mobile number, I reckon its a con! it looks like the cheaper series 3 at £579.00 and...it would be in Aberdeen! andy
19.
Id love to be able to drop the money on this just for smaller gigs where i need a fat tone! Good luck
cheers.

21. definitely a fella! +1 on the jazz though!
22.
Judging by the clothes I'd say that's definitely a girl. The carefully stacked tissues on the bed could belong to a teenage boy, though. That's some lovely playing; a nice comeback to the "Why do people post themselves on YouTube?" thread, I think!
exactly what I was thinking.
23. Ampeg SVt 3pro: the older one with the blue writing. Good points, re-tube and recent service. Bad point, slightly audible distortion way back in the sound. I have had this checked out and cannot find any probs with it, smoothing caps, crossover interference, relay etc. It does not affect the tone in anyway. it is used regularly with no issues. Ampeg B1x15 cab 2 months old and in 'as new' condition. never gigged hardly used. Looking for £500 the pair. will get pics up as soon as. andy
24. link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swdKDBz3DYs...feature=related what a cracking player! obviously don't whether its male or female but great tone nonetheless. well done to this person - flawless victory!
