Go on do the road trip! Newcastle is a great city. Locals are great. I try to get down at least once a year I would suggest doing the whole thing though, leave early morning say around 5am, take some time out to enjoy the city, pick up your amp/cab and travel home. This would cost me around £70 for a 700 mile journey. If you want the amp/cab and its a real good price taking into account your costs - do it. andy

Please dont shoot me! I am a fan of John Entwhistle and The Who... but I really think that solo is p*sh, it makes no sense? It sounds so trebley. The active electronics are so thin and overdriven that you cant make the notes out or any real 'scale/key/structure' he attempting to put together. Sorry John not a goody for me! Watching the wont be fooled again video got me thinking?? I wonder if Harry sheare based his character 'Derek Smalls' from Spinal Tap on John Entwhistle? andy

I am now well and trully sorted gear wise! hurrah! I love my ampeg rigs and my yamaha basses! also I adore my trace V4. thought I would share this with you guys cause I'm sorted, no need for an ampeg 810 anymore my two 410he cabs are fabby - thanks nev - and my svt 3pro is great. No more gas buying for me except...the new Yamaha BB714 of which I have major gas for! but no need to buy basses on whims as a result of gas or for the need of something new.... andy

Fantastic Amp! well sought after - if I were you I would hold onto it!! they are 20+ years old hence jcm800 = 80's. They have the classic marshall tone and will be worth a fortune in very near future. I have a pristine jcm900 2x12 dual channel combo which is superb and has been valued at £500 but not as good as the jcm800. andy

shamfull sell about to occur... my v4 beastie works exceptionally well with my ashdown mag810, of whcih, I am selling for £200 I bought it in January ans is still under guarantee.. hey ped! bet you were timing me?? lol andy

I'd have thought more in the region of £5 - £600? the cabs alone are £300 - £350 and the heads were about £200 - what a deal and good for you! enjoy andy
