1. will check it out cheers. funnily enough, I have had a badass and didn't like it, much preferred the fender bridge. don't know what it was with the badass II it just didn't feel right. andy
  2. Well I've done it, correction me mothers done it! She signed the 12 month interest free option at Guitar Guitar allowing me to own a Fender 50s classic precision bass! Have to say, I'm well pleased with it, looks great, superb tone and the neck...the neck...high gloss chunky fabulous piece of maple! well chuffed I am! Downer: its made in Mexico but after a couple f hours with it, I'm not too fussed compares well with my old American pbass! Will change the anodised gold pickguard to a 3 ply black one and will definitely change the bridge to a fender deluxe/high mass deluxe. andy link: http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/bass_guitars...=08103114345638

  14.
I'm going over to Japan to see them play at the Budokan on 20th June! Obviously not going just for them, but its another good reason to go to Japan!
lucky man! full review on return though please! andy
  15.
Ahhhh!! I cant wait to see them next month now!!
Whaddya mean? please tell me more... to call sheehan thick because he is a scientologist is a bit out of place Mr Thisnameistaken! people have a right to chose what they believe in whether it be aliens or god or drugs or booze or whatever! if you still persist in him being thick then for a thick man he well respected and has made a fair amount of money doing his thing! and, I'd rather be thick than judgmental! andy
  16.
Em... Dunno, maybe it's just me, but they looked like a bunch of oldies, who got 'a decent amount of money' to come back and do some foolish acting in front of cameras. Good ol' days? F*ck it. Even Metallica looks better these days. Oh, and the vocalist... BTW, sorry for all this. Maybe that because it's me, in the end.. Or just because I can't stand Sheehan.
oi! I'm an oldie and very glad to see some fellow oldies back in the game! particularly real talented oldies!! money was never the driving factor as they are very well off individually. cheers fro the heads up clive, it is fantastic to have them back and look forward to hearing new material! andy
  17.
Of course any price noted on an ad is negotiable. If people feel £550 is too much please do offer what you will. Might you be interested andy67?
not what I mean! sorry! it's worth that everyday of the week, I really miss mine and could kick myself for letting it go so cheaply! I'll ask the missus. andy

    Ashdown

Ashdown bass equipment is great! used loads of it from abm to mag to their jlo dist. pedal. I currently use a perfect ten combo for house practice and acoustic sets - as the tin says perfect ten! if it wasn't for the fact I was 40 a couple of years ago and picked up most of my ampeg kit for it, then I most certainly would be using ashdown full out at this time. the abm 810 is the best looking 810 on the market adn the mag 810 is the single best value in terms of construction, tone and price I have ever seen! andy

  21. the series one model is stunning! nothing quite like them in terms of build, looks and tone. I appear to have a pre-manufacture hand made series one
  22. definitely series 1 - same as mine. reason i asked about the frets is because some of the lines look uneven but i suppose years of use cause this? andy
  23. has this been defretted? andy
  24. from experience, if it's built into a track it's near impossible to fully isolate. some programs profess to do this but the outcome is a mushy mess! andy
  25. yeah! lets keep the love in as we are all very passionate about our gear! we are all decent fellows and sorry for being a dick also! I'm off to hug my rig now... ps - just been listening to smokin by humble pie - it is superb recommended listening! link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwWEoMM4PDY andy
