  1. It would be a good name for a band, though.
  2. I think the current may very much depend upon the emulations being included in the given setting.
  3. Someone on another group said you can treble up the DC7 outputs. it is a rather pricey way to replace a wall-wart, though.
  4. Hehe... You did say you liked my Rickenbacker, so I'll let you off! 🙂
  5. Hmmm - I think I recall you turning your nose up at my Warwicks at the last bass bash! 🙂
  6. I find the Squier/Fender thing is more a case of reverse snobbery "My Squire JV beats any Fendre US" ever made and so-on. Me, I like my Rickenbackers and Warwick bolt-ons and I've no desire to go up-market from them.
  7. Mint Condition- Fender Squire Affinity Precision Bass, 4 String needs repair https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175313516735 "neck bowed truss nut working electrics working good finish used dings ect "
  8. I might have one as a number 2 guitar...
  9. Well, I am now in possession of an Ampeg SVP and a SansAmp RBI; they'll be going in a rack case along with a power amp. It'll be interesting seeing how they compare when I get the setup going. I've also got a MarkBass EVO amp which does emulations, including Ampeg; I'll see how that does as well.
  10. Not of Rickenbacker basses! (Remember that car which was designed by the Japanese and built by Alfa?)
  11. Which Hiscox case will a Ric fit in?
  12. I remember when these came out; I went to a shop, picked up a Rickenbacker bass, plugged into this and whatever amp (I think it was a Markbass), set the controls to 12 o'clock, and went "Yep - that sounds about right".
  13. I knew who it was at the first picture.
  14. Yes - I contacted one of those, as I need a shed, and I got a reply saying to go to their site for their special offers. I've seen them for Herman Miller chairs, electronic drum kits, and other things too; I generally just zone them out now. The price usually seems to be £73 or some unusual number.
  15. Playing higher dates the music; there's something special about playing down low. (Not saying that playing high is a bad thing, though.) I never really much noticed John Deacon, though he is of course very good. As for Geezer - I saw him with Heaven & Hell and he had a really good bass sound; way better than the "get out of the way of all the other instruments" muffled middley sound of the earlier Sabbath recordings.
  16. The wing-nut is a nice feature too.
  17. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275339210163 £750
  18. That looks nicely run in.
  19. Did you just shoot Paul Kersey?
  20. I got the impression that’s a warning post.
  21. I'm going for one of the ones @Happy Jackrecommended; the 4-channel version (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334387167184?var=543385789351) (there was also a code for an extra 5% off). A word of warning - I looked at some options and some brands are (deliberately) vague as to what their Watts are; for example this one just says "2x 500W", without saying peak or RMS; after a bit of poking around I found a seller saying "max", so I guess that's peak then. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184524818501
  22. Yep - it's probably an exercise in futility, since I have MIDI bass pedals, synths, synth fx pedals and whatever else anyway! I guess that playing the fills & stuff on the bass means playing the bass on the pedals... Who knows when (or if) I'll put it into action anyway.
  23. I did that with the bass one and managed to get one working one out of it. I also dismantled and put back together the guitar one. But I don’t trust either tbh.
  24. Thanks, Andre - I appreciate the reply. They look nice and the price seems about right, however, I think I need a drop-in replacement, so maybe this one isn't what I'm looking for on this occasion.
