  1. The drawback of my Stomp is that I had to add 2 buttons to it (Up/Down) to make it usable, so basically it needs to grow a pair...
  2. My Statii wish Rob well from the comfort of their sofa...
  3. It's worth saying again: just don't do the F&F thing with people who aren't your friends or family.
  4. I think the comments are well intentioned and orientated towards keeping his legacy going. I hope he feels some pride that people would like to see the brand continue.
  5. Oh dear - I do hope they decide to keep the brand (and the quality) going.
  6. I think when you daisy-chain cabs with Speakons they're connected in parallel.
  7. Yep - I meant it'll a bonus if you can sort the truss-rod and end up with a working bass!
  8. Fingers crossed the truss-rod can be tweaked!
  9. So, how much is a full one?
  10. Ah yes - I'd looked at that and wondered if any Yammyholics might be interested.
  11. The first one I went to I forgot my rack and borrowed space on someone else's. There's usually plenty going on and one thing I tend to find is that I haven't had time to talk to everyone and see everything. I'm happy to say to folks play what you like of mine (but don't break it!), but I wouldn't assume the same of everyone's prized possessions and some say they couldn't play someone else's bass.
  12. However, it's still worth reporting it, just so the numbers do build up.
  13. I didn't receive a reply from the seller, so I've raised the return case on ebay. The seller replied: Hmmm - looks like they want me to replace a part. ebay then sent me this message: I'm not sure I want to trust replacement parts, so I'll look to do the return. I'll also have to see what to do about the VAT & import duties paid.
  14. Both of those prices are silly.
  15. That's my thought, or a fault in the power supply. But anyway, it has a "Do not open" sticker over one of the lid screws, so I'm not going to look. I messaged the seller, but haven't had a reply, so I guess I'll raise a dispute at the end of the week.
  16. So there is - a nice looking set-neck. However, asking 3-4x its value is having a giraffe.
  17. Not having its original TRC and damage impacts its value.
  18. Yes - it was just on plugging in the IEC cable, with the front switch of the amp off.
  19. Ah - I do find TalkBass a bit difficult to follow.
  20. Aye. In my case, the amp was shipped to my address in the UK and supplied with a UK 13A plug mains lead. It was sold with the following description: "Input Voltage: AC220~240V, 50/60Hz / AC110~120V, 50/60Hz ( 110V US Versions only have New Design Versions, please choice new design if you use it in USA)". The case has a "Do not open" anti-tamper sticker over one of the lid screws. The seller's rating is: easydo2012 (3742)
  21. Fingers crossed - I'll see what the response is. There's also the question of VAT & duties.
  22. I don't recall you trying to warn me? eg. in or or (though you had posted a comment in this one before I joined the thread).
  23. Actually, there must be a dark cloud over prowlasville at the moment: I've got COVID. I had the issue with the Rickenbacker TRC a couple of weeks back (fortunately got a refund). I've had a pulled calf muscle for over a month. This power amp issue. I'm in the process of upgrading my Virgin broadband to 1 Gb, but the replacement router they sent me arrived yesterday DOA (loose piece inside which rattles). My motto: Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you!
  24. FYI, I got a refund from the seller. And he's getting a refund off his seller.
