  2. We used to make fun of Jedson back in the 70s; it'd be worth up to £50 as a curio, but not as a player.
  3. As mentioned, even the county would give a general idea of the area. Work-wise, most peoples jobs say they shouldn't be posting online whilst at work. No need for their precise post-code.
  4. Elf in your pocket after a gig = a really hot derrier!

    Odd balls

There are some commercial brands which assemble basses from off-the-shelf parts. Recently I nearly bought a Peter Cook Mighty Mite P-bass - he made them in the 70s/80s(?) and one I saw had a Mighty Mite logo.
  7. Hmmm - this seems to have tumbled out of control.
  8. Me too - I think we can say things have folded.
  9. That one creased me up!
  10. One per string then!
  11. I think the county would suffice for initial information purposes.
  12. Well, I think things could've been smoothed out... ...oh no, I thought you said ironing!
  13. The strings winding on the machines looks weird. But at least it's something different to a Fender!
  14. Well - it's been decided anyway, so all sorted.
  15. At least there wasn't an FFS there, so maybe the grumps were dissipating a bit...
  16. Him speak honto!
  17. Sure - in response to your "Really?", I was simply clarifying my position that it is my opinion rather than a demand; that's all.
  18. Ah yes, forgot to mention switch cleaner - squirty cans avalable from Maplin (also squirty cans of air, which are handy for blowing out dust & detritus).
  19. Seems fair enough to me!
  20. You stated "It's your opinion that the site should demand location information" and I clarified, by saying "it's my opinion that the site should require it, but it's not my demand that the site must require it.". That's OK to say, isn't it?
  21. prowlaisalwaysright.com :-)
  22. Yes - it's my opinion that the site should require it, but it's not my demand that the site must require it. Isn't that what the OP's question is asking? Whether the site owners/admins decide to do it or not do it, it's their choice.
  23. I personally wouldn't pay hundreds for a 70s Japanese copy (but that's me, personally), but I see them being offered at those kind of prices, so there must be a market. I'm not sure about an unbranded one, though. I guess you could agree that if you sold it, you could split the money at that point.
  24. It's my opinion, not a demand! I look at the buy & sell pages on a lot of sites and I tend to pass by the ones which don't have the info readily available; if things don't at least show a price, location, and photos, then I'll probably move on. I don't know about pain of life, but if you want to sell something, it's probably an idea to make it easy for your potential buyers.
