  1. I'm not in the market for one of these, but I have one in a bass and it is really (really!) good.
  2. Well, I'll likely go, so may spot you there (it'll be the Saturday for me). Remember to take some earplugs!!!
  3. I kindof like it - might buy it as a curio...
  4. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  5. On a point of order, it ain't 30 degrees. Maybe someone will producr a String Butler for it, if folks are bothered about the angles, though.
  6. Yep - I think the 4+1 headstock makes it look like the extra string was an afterthought, which it was. That' just me, speaking as a Ric owner and other brand 3+2 and 4+1 5-strings too...
  7. The Rics I've owned have been excellent, high quality instruments.
  8. The problem with the PK-5 is in changing patches; I've got a RFX MIDIBuddy MP128P board with numbers on it which is a little more friendly.
  9. I wonder if they've trademarked the pickups. I think they're a bold, interesting design; for me, however, the different neck, pickups and bridge means that they shouldn't be a 4003. It'll be interesting to see how they sell.
  10. Aye; a fix would require a new section of neck to be put in. I offered £120.
  11. Speaking of snapped, ... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WARWICK-Streamer-Stage-1-1992-Snapped-Head-Electric-Solid-Bass-Guitar-Faulty/132478606452?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2763.l2649 The repair could be expensive; I made an offer on it, but it was declined.
  12. Well - they've got thicker necks! (And radical new pickups...)
  13. Buy and sell it quickly - a FLIPPER!
  14. The string guides on the headstock are something to be admired...
  15. I'd assume that the tension of each string would be similar.
  16. Well, they are a business, but I think it's a response to customer demand. Most people can play a guitar and its strings are closer together, so shouldn't be a problem for a bass (unless you slap & pop, but that's not really what Ric cater for). Incidentally, I've got a SUB 5 and its neck is only 1mm wider at the nut than my 4003.
