  1. Yes - I'm not into "upbranding". However, Fender do put "by Fender" on some of their models. Epiphone are even worse and put a "Gibson" TRC on some of theirs!
  2. I'd go for a Fender one if you can find it in budget. I've been looking at an Ibanez Mikro to try out, myself. I had an Epi EB0 and it was OK but unremarkable. I've also got a vintage Japanese something or whatever, which is full-size but short scale (ie. the bridge is further up the body). A complete flip-around of the idea would be a Kala U-bass.
  3. A car boot buy of mine... (I still haven't finished the reversion job...)

  5. One of my pet hates is "Squire"... As for this particular one, it's not worth the money.
  6. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Headless-bass-guitar-custom-painting/163898945003 (I do quite like the paint job, though!)
  7. Maybe they're very rare because they didn't sell very well...
  8. I find pancake plugs real sods to solder! I went to Dawsons once looking for cables with pancake plugs and they said they'd never heard of them. These days, for in-pedalboard, I use EBS Flats.
  9. Purley - that might be a way...
  10. I didn't know they'd done a headed one. (I used to have a headless.)
  11. A lot of folks do bring theirs, but it’s not compulsory. There’s a fair amount of sharing goes on.
  12. The special Warwick handcrafted in China range...?
  13. Fantastic bodgework there!
  14. It says RRP £399 - nobody would pay that for a Shine. £149 might be worth a punt. They're sub £100 instruments used.
  15. Once I rose above the noise and confusion...
  16. I bought a cab there last year; took it into the hall and tried it out with my Elf, easy buy.
  17. Yeah, but they play, sound, and look great!
  18. It looks a bit scruffy for the price.
  19. It looks to me like the new bridge/tailpiece assembly needs more body routing to fit, so it won't be a drop-in replacement.
  20. One of my projects is an RB. It's got pickups and i just need to buy some pots and wire it up...
  21. I like the hex screws holding the bridge on...
  22. Definitely natural ash finish.
  23. You can say that again!
  24. It's just a knackered Warwick with a pickguard.
