1. This seems to have sorted it, my other one dives as soon as you let it go. This one moves to a horizontal position then stops. That's with tuners but most of the body fixings missing (but pickups in place) so should balance ok. Previously it dived slowly with none of the tuners in (remember it's an epiphone, not the beautifully made pieces of master craftsmanship as created by Andy) I appreciate the metal 'spur' may be seen as a bit weird/ offend the purists but I just want to give a few things a try and this is the perfect project to test them out on.
2. I also have an Aria, I prefer it passive but flick to active on a couple of tracks that it suits better. Nice to have the flexibility. I also have a Schecter and the range of sound is very impressive but I prefer to be able to dial something in and leave it there then adjust with pedals but that could just be my inexperience showing.
3. My wife has just walked in, spotted the snooker on and sang 'snooker loopy' briefly. Surely that would empty any room?
4. I have been thinking about the only thing I don't like about the EB3 - neck dive. I appreciate some don't mind it while others find it annoying beyond belief. I am fairly sure I fall in the second category. So what can you do about it? I could add a pound of lead behind the bridge, not ideal, I could covert it to headless, interesting, but no. Or I could have a think and see if there was way to maintain the lightweight overall and good looks whilst sorting the issue without spending a fortune. Lightweight tuners make a difference I understand, but how much? Varies depending on who you speak to but most agree it's not a great deal. So the only real way is to make the front strap position move closer to the head. I could just drill into the neck but that seemed an ugly way to do it and could cause other issues. I love working with different materials and this seemed like a problem that could be solved with a bit of lathe and miller work. With a couple of lunchtimes devoted to it I have come up with a prototype as seen in the pic below which moves the pivot point quite a distance but doesn't interfere whilst playing (well it doesn't with how I play). I still have to finish the final policy and wire up so haven't had it all together yet but the balance is so much better and will improve further when the bridge, electronics and covers/ knobs are on. When I know it works properly I will spend some time and make a 'pretty' one.
5. I have a load of brand new, still in packets, DCC tapes. The best ever digital format (or possibly not).
6.
To these add; - All right now - Mustang Sally - Honky Tonk Women
Mustang Sally repeated all night has to be the ultimate torture.
7. I haven't forgotten this but decided to really go for the lacquer. All done now with last coat on neck going off as we speak. The body has had eight coats in total.
8. That seems very expensive to me. The repair is not insignificant and they don't fetch massive money when prefect. And it's an EB0, not the 3
9. I have just bought a Rusty axe acoustic bass cheap. I have no idea about them and have bought blind on price alone to dabble with acoustic bass. Does anyone have any information on them as the searches I have done have brought nothing at all apart from a couple of links to electric guitars for sale. I am guessing they are a 'budget brand' but any info would be much appreciated.
10. Another vote for the big muff, they regularly come up cheap on eBay too.
11.
Then it's caveat emptor-'buyer beware'.
Not always on eBay, sadly they are now so biased towards the buyer that selling on there is a risk and I have stopped for that reason. Hopefully the OP will be ok in this as he is completely in the right.
12. Unless you stated it had new strings then tough luck to them. Sadly eBay is full of complete and utter morons these days.
13. Smashing pumpkins Gish stands out, but there are quite a few when I think about it.

I have a zoom and love it, it has some limititations for sure but a great bit of kit. I haven't used any of the more expensive ones so can't comment on them.
15. Looks good to me, but it would be easy enough to get them sprayed black if it was make of break.
16. Sorry to be slightly off topic, it can you get left handed keyboards that run the other way? I can't recall ever seeing one but it would be so simple to do on an electronic one.
17.
To be honest I don't fancy DIYing it. Any idea what kind of place I could go to for that service?
Do you have any handy friends? It really isn't a complex job and a router isn't uncommon in a toolkit of people who dabble in diy. As for getting someone to do it for you, I would guess that most luthiers would do it, probably in a bandsaw which would be a quicker way to do it. And I would guess that most woodworkers would be able to do it but no idea if they would be happy to take it on (and good old fashioned woodworking places are few and far between these days and tend to do high end stuff so may not be cheap).
18. You could cut a pattern in wood and then attach the plastic to it and use a router with flush cut bit to make a nice edge. You would also have the benefit that it would be easy to make more than one if needed.

20.
Forget the Jazz debate, what are these thirds you speak of?
Its what large people have after seconds I think, then the fifths come in a few minutes later.
21. It looks like an update as opposed to a completely new unit so probably similarly priced to the B3, I love mine and would be tempted if the new one offers anything extra.
22. I have seen a few 'big' bands in London or parts thereof under assumed names. Usually a reference to one of their tracks or something about them. A mate was obsessed with discovering them and used to hunt through the gig pages in NME (remember them?) when even tiny venues used to list and look for obscure references on band names he didn't recognise. A lot of the time it was just small bands we had never heard of but we saw Paul Weller amongst other people in a tiny place and badly disguised, but obvious who it was as soon as he started singing and judging from the number of The Jam t shorts being worn it was obvious my mate wasn't the only one to suss it out. I am not sure if they did it to try something new or just because they wanted the feel of a small venue again, my guess is the latter.
23. My daughter is 9 and can't get on with a full scale. As a short term thing she is playing four strings on a semi acoustic guitar I have. I am looking at short scales as I think they will be ok but the Tanglewood ones look even better.
24. I have an EB3 (long scale) but epiphone version and the neck dive is horrendous. It's very tiring and frustrating over time, especially as you just can't let it go or it heads straight for the floor. I haven't tried the short scale EB but obviously assume it will be better, but no idea by how much. I have got a second EB3 as a project and I am making an attachment to shift the strap point further up in the hope of countering the dive. I have seen others have got on with different straps but nothing worked well enough for me.
25. Hmmm, don't see how suggesting people just chillout is either name calling, or pot and kettle. Noel has one opinion, others have different opinions. The world continues to turn. It's hardly the most important issue in the works at the moment and NJ^^^^^^ seemed to sum it up perfectly to me.
