1. Unlined with side dots. I get a bit freaked by lined boards Mind you, I do play a bit of fretted too without problems - S'wierd innit!?
2. I believe the 6CA7s have more bottom end than EL34s. I am open to correction on this of course.
3. Just heard from Hipshot that the BT7 would be the nearest, although new mounting holes would need to be drilled. Sorted (hopefully!) Cheers Grahame
4. Some really cool stuff there! So did the 200 Watter start off as a SC 200? Cheers Grahame
5. Hi all A similar question was asked a few days ago but for a different bass... Anybody know which Hipshot D tuner's suitable for the Squier VM Jazz? I've tried emailing Hipshot but to no avail... Any help is much appreciated! Cheers Grahame
6. Got one of these arriving any day now - http://www.ampmaker.com/ak01x.asp Probably need to pop in a low gain preamp valve to clean it up a bit. Also half way through building one of Mr Fitzmaurices' Jack 12s to go with it. The idea, hopefully, is to have a nice little(ish) practice rig for home.
7. I've got the 'Xtra Clef' on this page - http://www.eyelandenterprises.com/html/straps.html Mine's done with a black strap, burgundy pad and gold clef. It's very comfortable and beautifully made - well worth the wait....
8. Sean bought my ACG Finn fretless. He's been an absolute gentleman throughout the deal and beyond! Buy or sell something with this guy and you won't be disappointed! Many thanks Sean Cheers Grahame
9. BFM Omni15 'Kin AMAZING! Does the lot!
10. Many thanks for your kind comments people! It amazes me that a bass so light can feel so solid and well built. Kudos to Alan!
11. As a result of, shall we say, a frank exchange of views with HM Inland Revenue (actually, it was pretty one sided), I have been advised in no uncertain terms that I need to liquefy some of my assets...... So, it is with a tear in my eye that I have to announce that my ACG Finn fretless is up for grabs. Purchased only a month ago from Bobpalt. I won't drivel on unnecessarily about this lovely bass so here's a link to Bobs original posting - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=58862&hl Also more photos here - http://www.acguitars.co.uk/Gallery/161/ I'm asking, if I may, for £850 including mainland courier delivery. Ok Boys and Girls, over to you.. Cheers Grahame

14. Excellent cabs these! Built a pair these for my son to go with his 2000W rig. He only uses one as he feels two's unnecessary!

17. Just done a deal with Bob and found him to be a thoroughly pleasant guy - says what he does and does what he says! Top notch. Thanks Bob! Grahame
18. Dunno Mate sorry... Still, hope you get sorted ASAFP. Grahame
19. Good job! Like it!
20. I've the intonation set on the side dots of the unlined boards of my fretlessessess - just seemed the logical way to go. FWIW I used to find fretless basses with lined boards really difficult to play as I found the lines distracting. I had a Squier VM Fretless Jazz and ended up 'colouring in' the lines with a marker pen....
21. Just bought Gafs Squier Jazz and found him a thoroughly pleasant guy to deal with! Keeps you informed and understands the importance of packing stuff properly. Cheers mate and thanks! Grahame
22. Rather slam my knob in the car door again.........
23. Ahhh, Nick Beggs. Happy memories as 14 year olds with Nick on drums, John on g**tar and me on my no-name bass. Nick picked my bass one day, had a plonk on it and that was it! Fate had done it's stuff! Nice guy!
24. Pete's just had my Mex Jazz off me. Smashing chap and an absolute pleasure to deal with! Many thanks Pete hope the Jazz goes down a storm!
